Sweetstacks Review & Giveaway (Food Fest Prize #7)

This comes a little late in the day but who wouldn't want a delicious pancake doused generously with some maple syrup? How about a couple to share with Grandpa or Grandma on their special day today? (Happy Grandparents Day again!!)

I'm sure you won't say no if I told you I was going to tell you these pancakes are gourmet pancakes, made extra scrumptious with one special ingredient added by the founding family from the Pacific Islands.....Love! There's no better way to get an awesome recipe than to have one that has been tested, tried, sampled and enjoyed in a family and passed down generation to generation. In this case the winning recipe led to Sweetstacks!

We were sent two 1 lb packs of Sweetstacks' gourmet pancake mix to try out.

Now in our household Bunny girl is not a big pancake lover and Hubby, well, prefers a bowl of cereal to a plate of fluffy pancakes. I on the other hand love pancakes!
Considering the tastes and preferences, I decided I would make just half a batch to sample the flavor especially as I've not really enjoyed store bought, ready mix pancake mixes before.

I was actually not able to take a single photograph only because Hubby swiped 2 big fluffy, nice and hot pancakes off the plate . Bunny girl nibbled a little, said "Yummy" and ate another huge fluffy one with maple syrup and I just had to eat 2 while making theirs!

Official Verdict : Yummy into 3 times!!

The pancakes browned beautifully. They rose to be nice and fluffy and the taste was mmm!!! You have to try this mix out.(You can use the same mix to also make crepes or waffles too.)

I totally understand why they call it a 'gourmet' pancake mix!! The mix does live up to its title and the 1st place it secured in America's Best Food Professional Food competition.

Sweetstacks has other mouth watering looking products(you have to see the pictures to enjoy them....mmmm.) and some must try pancake recipes too.

Mollicoolz Review and Giveaway (Food Fest Prize # 6)

Remember that song? Well after reading this review and tasting the product you will change the words a bit and sing....
"I scream, You scream, We all scream for cryogenically frozen beads of delectable icecream!!"

WHAT???

I'm not going cuckoo....I'm telling you!...Taste cryogenically frozen beads of delectable icecream and you will sing the same song!! People, this is Mollicoolz I'm talking about....the 'super cool' (pun intended) icecream treat sweeping the stores around the country!! Mmmm mmmm mmmm!!!! I love it!

Here's the 'scoop'


Step 1: Run down to your local Walmart and grab yourself a Mollicoolz shaker for 1.50$, in the flavor you like. (Bunny girl surveyed the shakers on the table and finally picked Cookies and Cream as her first taste choice)

Step 2: Place your shaker in the freezer to make sure you have a nice cold, creamy icecream shake to enjoy

Step 3: Once you think your 'concoction' is cold enough, get it out of the freezer, pull open the lid and pour milk into the icecream pellets, upto the level marked on the shaker. (You can add more milk if you want a less creamy and thick shake.)


Step 4: Now seal your shaker shut and then shake, shake, shake for 30 seconds. For better results we shook ours for longer. (The icecream beads were a little stuck together as our shakers had been in the freezer for long!!) You can shake along to this 60 second version of "Shakeable You' with the Imagination Movers!!



Step 5: That's it! You now have a thick, creamy, icecreamy, yummy, chilled Mollicoolz treat to enjoy!


Bunny girl is just recovering from a cold, so this was a treat for her! I have to confess we split the shake with her. I didn't think she'd polish half that glass either...... but she sure did surprise me!
