Tom Paxton's 'The Marvelous Toy'-Book Review & Giveaway

Do you remember a favorite toy you had as a child? A toy that you've passed on to your little boy or girl? I'm sure it was really special to you and you've thought it was the best toy ever but I'm sure you never had anything that went Zip! Bop! and Whirr! A toy that beheld the most brightest colors ever.....The Marvelous Toy!

Written by legendary folk music legend Tom Paxton, this lively story takes you through the excitement of watching an amazing gift, given by a Dad to his son, come to life. The Marvelous Toy has a personality of its own and the vibrant illustrations creatively drawn up by award winning artist Steve Cox, bring life to each page. With a little imagination, your child will experience a toy like no other!

My favorite toy was a blue stuffed French poodle but we had to leave it with my cousins when we moved across country. I had inherited it from my grandmother when she died.

main entry: while we only had a very few toys as a child (49 years ago) we really appreciated the ones we did get for christmas or birthdays. One of my favorites was a toy from fisher price which was both a movie cartoon recorder that played on the wall (in the dark) as you crank its handle and you played the record to it which had both music and naratored voice about the cartoon on a player that were hard round disk. I remember playing casper the friendly ghost & I think it had 2 more disk but cannot remember what they were.Would love to win this giveaway for my little grandson. THANKS!

My favorite toy was a fashion doll that I had admired one day in a toy store window. I was so surprised to get her for Christmas. Toys were rare for us. I'm the 7th of 8 kids & I remember our gifts were practical items like clothes. :-( The few toys we had were shared and cherished. We didn't know we were poor; we were a very happy bunch!
