Wahl Color Pro Clipper Review and Giveaway (BTSC-Day 39)

As a child growing up, my dad would cut,trim and level my hair. He would spend a long time doing it but in the end I always felt the end result was tres professional! Years down the line I find myself preferring to cut Hubby and Bunny girl's hair (well...atleast when she was younger!) than spend over 10$ a head to get a basic cut,trim or level. One side of my Hubby's family has receding hairlines and premature balding. Hubby has inherited the latter so a trip to get a haircut is a waste of money when there really isn't much to cut. Thus he prefers that his beloved wife take to the shears!

In our family cutting Hubby's hair is a family affair. I do the clipping and Bunny girl stands near her Daddy with a tissue to wipe every lock that falls onto his lap. (This is so cute. We never asked her to do this.It's something she thought of doing as a 2 year old and the little ritual continues!) Since Hubby's hair is close cropped I've always found it a struggle to make sure all levels are the same especially while using scissors. I've never used electric clippers though in my heart I knew they were my solution for a perfect haircut. Maybe I was too scared (suppose I shaved off a line of hair...eek!) and for me, scissors were in my comfort zone.

Here's what I love about the Wahl Color Pro:

It's a clipper that any person can used. You don't need a trained hand to use these. It's easy-peasy!
The guide combs that attach to the clipper are color coded. This makes it easy to identify the comb you need to use, based on how much you actually need to cut. Hubby wanted a short crop, so I used #2, a 1/4th inch cut

To shape the hairline around the ears, this clipper has a dedicated comb for each ear- this made the shaping so easy. This has always been one of my struggles-making sure the hairline behind each ear is of equal length and similar shape. I have to confess till the Wahl Color Pro it has never been equal but Hubby has always been forgiving and consoled me that it stays hidden behind his ear!
It even has an eyebrow trim guide comb...I'm not bold enough to try this one yet...maybe sometime Hubby has a long holiday...just incase I make a mistake!
Thanks to the taper control on the main clipper, you can also customize your cuts.
