If you're a new Mommy and have heard Mommies around you talk about "swaddling" but have no clue what they're talking about, do not fear! Today's the day you get to find out all you need to know about "swaddling". Bunny Boo is a "swaddle" testament. We swaddled him for the first 3 months or so and then slowly phased out swaddling and replaced the swaddles with sleep sacks only because his swaddle cloths got a little too short for my big boy! I haven't thrown out any of his swaddle sheets and just last evening put his Ultimate Receiving Blanket (that is now being used as a 'lie on' cover) in for its weekly wash.

SwaddleDesigns Cotton Marquisette is similar to muslin but is made from premium quality yarns while SwaddleDesigns Cotton Flannel is made from premium preshrunk domestic cotton.

The reason behind why they've included two fabric options, can be found in the SwaddleDesigns Goldilocks Guide. Basically, the "baby should not be too hot, or too cold, but just right ~ comfortably warm." The Goldilock’s Guide also helps new parents remember the importance of keeping baby comfortably warm.

What I love about this set is the choice of two varying swaddle fabrics especially considering we have such a variance in temperatures, especially here in Texas.

Both blankets can also be used as nursing cover ups when you've forgotten to carry your nursing cover along!

If you're a new Mommy-to-be I would definitely recommend this as a wise add when you're drawing up your list of baby essentials before your baby shower.

I cannot get enough of Aden + Anais' soft cotton muslin baby products.

I was naturally interested to review their latest product when asked, even though I've not had any experience with security blankets in the past.

Aden + Anais have smartly developed a line of Issies.
An Issie, you ask? Yes....An Issie, that's what their security blankets are sweetly called. (Reminds me of the security teddy Hubby had when he was a child. He called his teddy Oofy!)

Bunny girl never did use a security blanket as a wee little one and Bunny Boo...well...is just too young to tell me if he will use one or not, but just in case he does plan to, his Issie is ready!

I love that his Issie is soft (Great for the snuggles) and made with the signature Aden + Anais natural, cotton, muslin fabric. They're sized at 16"x16", making them perfect to throw into a bag, carry along on the move and grasp in a little one's fist. (A friend of mine's son had a mammoth sized security blanket that was such a pain to lug around everywhere they went and invariably the blanket would get left behind at a home and the little one would dissolve in tears!) They even come as a set just in case you lose one or need to give one a good wash to sanitize the same before it gets into your little ones hands again.

I was sent this elegant Dwell Studio Chocolate Polka Dot diaper tote that passes off for a regular tote and perfect with its subtle color. (Yes I love 'mousey' colors, so am thrilled that is a chocolate shade!)

I can't say this can replace a regular diaper bag as you can carry immediate essentials and not really your baby's entire 'must-needs' as it would make the tote look unappealingly bulky.

This does come with a changing pad and a wipes case and before you ask, yes this is lined with waterproof material.

I love the central divider zip in pouch that can hold all the Mommy essentials and though this is a more compact 'baby stuff bag' it does a good number of pockets to hold baby bottles, toys and other 'musts'.

I also find the outer sling pouch very unique as you can stash away baby's blankie while moving from point A to point B and not worry about stuffing it into the tote.

This 6"x12"x6" chic tote will definitely be my companion to church once Bunny Boo arrives!
