A.B.E. Spotlight Feature #7: Plastic Jungle

I don't know anybody who doesn't love getting Gift Cards. It is ofcourse not as exciting when you receive a Gift Card for a store that you really can't think of buying something from!
Thankfully that's where Plastic Jungle steps in!

The Buzz:

Plastic Jungle is the web's largest secured gift card exchange, offering the best way to buy and sell gift cards online.

Their patent-pending marketplace and payment applications offer you the choice and flexibility to convert your gift cards into other forms of spending power including cash, online balances for purchases at the millions of merchants that accept PayPal, Facebook Credits, and more!

E.B. Mommy's Report:

I think this is a great way to exchange a Gift Card you don't want for one that you will use, even if you don't get an equivalent card value back. (Remember you don't have to exchange for a Gift Card. You can opt to receive an Amazon.com gift certificate OR Paypal cash)

Now even though the "selling" aspect of this site is great, what I personally love is the ability to "buy" a loaded Gift Card at a discounted price from a reliable seller AND not have to pay any shipping.

Take for instance a store I love, JC Penney.

Wow! The screen shot speaks for itself!!

Now let me get out of the way while you rush hop over to the site to find yourself some great Gift Card deals!!

A.B.E. Spotlight Feature #6: The Usbourne Lift The Flap Atlas

Usborne Books sell some of the very best children's books in the world.

Their chief motivating drive is to be a part of the overall education and literacy movement in the nation and to ensure their products make a difference in the lives of children.

The Buzz:

We had the opportunity to review the Usbourne Lift The Flap Atlas

This 16 paged board book with "lift up" flaps introduces your child to our wonderful planet full of beautiful buildings, exotic animals and fabulous sights .

E.B. Mommy's Report:

I love this engaging, concise yet information packed atlas that is by far one of my favorite children's Atlases so far.

Each page is packed with region specific facts, figures and interesting trivia that many of us, I'm sure, do not know.

The Atlas also includes a nice little surprise for the reader, in the inner pocket at the end of the same....

A large map of the world, complete with the flags of all the countries featured!

This would be a great map to frame and hang up in your child's room- a wonderful way to tickle his/her curiosity about different countries and their geography. It will also help him/her learn to identify a country just by looking at its flag.

I know this is an apt Atlas for the suggested age of a 6 year old but I do want you to know that your older preschooler will also be intrigued by the same.
Bunny girl loves looking through each flap and asking me questions about each place.
I find it's a great way for both of us to learn and get to spend some special Mommy-Dottie time together.
What a win-win situation!

Buy it:

You can buy the Usbourne Lift The Flap Atlas for 15.99 US$.

A.B.E. Spotlight Feature #5: Snikiddy's Natural Snacks

It's no secret....I love munchies!
The crispier the better!!
Now I know it's important to eat healthy especially since I'm still nursing Bunny Boo but there are those times when a few crisps here and there can't hurt. Right?
....
WRONG!

It's always best to stay clear away from the oily, fried potato lures whether one is a nursing Mom or not. If you still find it hard to stay away from munchies, go natural!

Snikiddy's All Natural Snacks are a brand of great tasting snacks that are baked and made from wholesome, real ingredients like real cheese, potatoes and corn.

The Buzz:

You can opt for baked fries in "want more" flavors like Cheddar Cheese and Bold Buffalo or you can go with the kids' favorite- baked cheese puffs in "Mommy Can I Have" flavors like Mac n Cheese and Pizza!

All Snikiddy products have 50% less fat than potato chips, are gluten and wheat free, don't have any preservatives nor do they have any corn syrup. They're also clean of any transfat and hydrogenated oils.
Sweet!

E.B. Mommy's Report:

Our family has their favorites. Bunny girl loves the baked Mac n Cheese puffs, while I'm reminded of my childhood when I chomp into a handful of baked Ketchup fries. Hubby loves the Southwest Cheddar Fries and the Nacho Puffs.

I love the feeling of enjoying a bowl of a healthier munchies alternative than regular crisps and best of all, they actually do taste delish!

Win it:

Two readers will have the opportunity to win 4 packs each of Snikiddy's Natural Snacks at the Blogtastic Extravaganza, here on Energizer Bunny's Mommy Reports.

Remember to mark the dates on your calendar: January 18-22, 2011 and hop back to enter then!

A.B.E. Spotlight Feature #4: Oompa Toy's Alphabet Matcher

There's nothing I love more than picking up a fun educational toy for Bunny girl or her buddies at Preschool when they have a birthday party.

Oompa Toys is definitely one of those online stops you need to make the next time you have to shop for a preschool toy that encourages imagination and creative play, the development and use of the English language, stimulates a child's sensory life and encourages social or independent play.

One such suggested toy is Oompa Toys Alphabet Matcher from Twisterz

The Buzz:

The Alphabet Matcher is an ingenious toy that will challenge a child’s verbal and written knowledge. A child twists the rings on the toy to choose a letter, then attempts to find the five objects on the ring that start with that letter!

The Alphabet Matcher engages skills ranging from logic to spelling. It contains three extra sets of rings, covering 24 letters and 120 images.

The Alphabet Matcher is a product from Twisterz Toys, whose toys are safe, durable and easy to use, perfect for travel, bedtime, the classroom, or anywhere around the house. Twisterz inspire early developmental skills including creativity and imagination, logic, spelling, problem solving, and hand/eye coordination. Twisterz are free of electronics and batteries. They are designed to inspire creativity, learning and parental involvement. All Twisterz products meet or exceed US safety testing standards, and are produced using non-toxic materials.

E.B. Mommy's Report:

Oompa Toys Alphabet Matcher is a novel way of encouraging your child to recognize and remember alphabets and things that begin with a particular alphabet in question.

Not only is the roll (and additional rings) easy to stash away in a small travel bag but it's also the perfect "quiet" game to keep your young preschooler occupied while on a long drive/flight or even in a shopping cart while you whiz around with that long grocery shopping list.

I would definitely recommend this for a 3 or 4 year old. It may not be as intriguing a game/toy for a 5 year old.

Buy it:

You can buy Oompa Toys Alphabet Matcher from Twisterz for 18.99 US$.

A.B.E. Spotlight Feature #3: Neat Oh! Backpacks

Keeping a child's toy room tidy is easier said than done. That's why it helps to have a little 'clean up assistance' from companies like Neat Oh! that bring the concept of "zip bin storage" to life!

The Buzz:

One of their popular products is the Neat-Oh Bring Along Backpack...a Backpack cum Playmat!

This is the neatest, "zippiest" way to have your child carry his/her toys around the place! The ZipBin Bring-Along BackPack not only holds car collections, little dolls and more but also unzips into a 30.5 x 15" play mat for hours of entertainment.

We had the opportunity to look at the 8 x 4.3 x 13.5" ZipBin Street Racer Bring Along Backpack

that mainly serves as a play set

and yet includes two sporty, die-cast cars.

The backpack features include :

• Colorful, durable, wipe-clean surfaces
• Sturdy, heavy-duty zippers
• Meeting child safety standards

E.B. Mommy's Report:

The Backpack we received will be perfect for Bunny girl's little buddy who is crazy about cars. Considering he has just begun preschool, this will serve as a fun, light weight backpack that can hold an essential snack and perhaps a change of clothes. This is a fun backpack to carry on those plane rides or even the stopovers on those long drives. Your little one will have a way to entertain himself and at the same time keep your mind at peace knowing that his cars aren't in direct contact with the icky, sticky public use tables!

Buy it:

You can buy a Neat Oh! Backpack for 19.99 US$.

As Bob lends a helping hand to construction projects around the town, Spud and Scrambler use the power of positive thinking, teamwork and problem-solving to get the job done and solve the mystery surrounding the legend of the Golden Hammer!

The DVD includes 5 fiery episodes:

* Going Out With A Bang
* Sticky Situation
* Best Foot Forward

In Barney: A Musical Zoo Barney and Riff create a wild concert filled with exotic animal sounds. Riff omposes for a different kind of puppet show, then BJ and Baby Bop get into the act, learning about rhythm and performing for others.

The DVD includes these musical episodes:

* “Riff’s Musical Zoo” - Everyone is excited about an upcoming trip to the zoo. When the trip is postponed, Riff gathers instruments that sound like real animals and creates a musical zoo using everyday items around the playground.

* “Special Skills” - Barney suggests that BJ and Baby Bop put on a show so Riff can see how much fun they have at the park. Riff is a little shy — he’s never performed in a show before. Barney encourages Riff to participate, and Riff does what he knows best – he makes music to accompany a very special puppet show.

* “Rhythm” - Baby Bop is practicing her marching because she will be joining a real marching rhythm band and is having trouble keeping a beat. Barney, BJ and Riff help Baby Bop learn about rhythm just in time for her to join the band.

When Victor gets overloaded with too many tasks, can Thomas help him let out steam? And while trying to get Scruff as clean as a whistle, will Thomas have to get his own wheels dirty? Just when things seem to be rolling along, will Ol’ Wheezy make a wobbly mess of Thomas’ special delivery? Hold on for exciting surprises waiting to be delivered just for you!
