CLOSED: TinySoles....The shoe boutique for little feet (+30$ Gift Certificate Giveaway)

* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*

If you've worn yourself out shopping store to store for stylish, comfortable, trustworthy and affordable shoes for your little ones, sit back and take a deep breath. I have a lifesaver you will love....TinySoles.

The Buzz:

TinySoles is a shoe boutique for babies, toddlers and children that carries age appropriate footwear that has been tested, approved and quality stamped by the TinySoles managing team.

A majority of the shoes showcased are specifically picked after a pediatrician or podiatrist recommends the same for a child's proper foot growth, development of muscles
and natural balance.

Knowing that you will shop for more than just shoes, TinySoles also offers their customers a selection of tights, socks, hats, headbands, clips, bags, raincoats and more!

The store carries brands that have made every Mommy in the market smile with satisfaction and relief.

As they aptly put it.... "No matter what the use, we have your tiny soles covered from newborn to kids size 13."

E.B. Mommy's Report:

Bunny Boo has been on a growth spurt and it was time I stopped stuffing his growing feet into his now "too small" shoes. He must've been so relieved when I slipped his chubby little feet into the new Rileyroos Chessie Navy shoes!

These handcrafted, light-weight, leather shoes are perfect for my experimenting little cruising baby. The shoes have padded leather collars for cushioned comfort and flexible leather soles with rubber traction pads.

They're easy to slip on and slip off and can be tightened by adjusting the two velcro straps on each shoe.

I love the pockets on the shoe that allow his little feet to breathe, making them great for the summer considering they protect his feet completely yet allow sufficient air flow to keep his baby feet ventilated. This pair goes great with a casual thrown together look or even when my dashing lad dresses dapper with his "church best" attire.

I know before he outgrows these I will be looking to get him a similar pair in a larger size., maybe the next time in Chocolate!

Buy it:

You can buy the Rileyroos Chessie Navy for 32 US$ with free shipping.

* Note: All orders placed 20 US$ and above are eligible to avail of the free shipping option.*

Win it:

Umi's Got Style! (+ Giveaway)

"When it comes to style and quality Umi delivers!"

When Umi puts a statement ike that in black and white, you know they're talking business and if your child has ever worn an Umi before, you can vouch for every adjective in the same!

The Buzz:

Umi's Spring/Summer 2011 collection is officially on the virtual shelves and yes, the pastels, tans and colors are all there!

I adore these pieces in the "Little Girls collection" and honestly wish they had these in bigger sizes....

and these in a smaller size for Bunny Boo!

A perfect case of "the shoes are always nicer when your child's feet are either too big or too small for a particular style"!

E.B. Mommy's Report:

While looking through the Big Girl's Collection, I personally thought the sandals (especially the Louisa) are cute and have a "fresh burst" appeal to them but because I really needed to get Bunny girl some formal, black "church" and "pretty events" black shoes, I decided to pick the Molly.

I know I'm really partial to the 'Mary Jane' style and I think one reason may be that the style really embraces a young child's foot and gives it the required support needed to cushion all those leaps, twirls and jumps.

Not only is it a practical, "slip on and get active in the same" kind of shoe but it also looks elegant and "dressy"

Bunny girl loves the "sheen" look and the "Butterfly" (it's supposed to be a bow but she thinks it looks like a butterfly so Shhhhh....) on her shoe and wore the pair proudly to school on her birthday.

I love the fact that this is an Umi, which means Bunny girl's feet sit comfortably in non toxic, drum dyed, buttersoft leather and the sewn soles assure me that she won't be dragging "coming apart" soles anywhere in the near future.

Umi equals trust....
Ask any Umi Mommy!

Win With Umi and Boon:

Buy it:

You can buy the Molly for 65 US$.

CLOSED: Wheeled Footwear Fun with Heelys New HX2! (A 120$ Mommy & Me Giveaway)

.

* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*

Looking for a unique Mommy-Kiddo activity to do in the new year?
Why don't you consider a little wheeled footwear fun with Heelys new HX2 ?!

Check out the fun you and the kids can have....

Coolio!

Heely's latest Hx2 line is testament of its innovative, patented, action, sports-oriented brand.
Unlike earlier products, the Hx2, uses two smaller, removable wheels in each shoe.

Not only is it easier to maintain balance, but wearers of the Hx2 do not require as much leg strength to lift their toes to skate.
As beginners get the hang of skating, the Hx2 can be converted into a regular pair of Heelys for a more challenging ride simply by removing one of the wheels.
It’s like training wheels for your feet!

Oh and when you tire of the wheels, don't fret about wasting a perfectly good pair of skate shoes.
You can just pop out the wheels and Voila!...
You get a snazzy pair of 'walk around' shoes!

Now tell me, who's ready to SKATE....RATTLE.....'N'.... ROLL??!!

For more Heelys Fun....

Heelys Street Skater tests your skills in an exciting and fast-paced virtual environment.

Perform tricks, coast through checkpoints and skillfully maneuver through the streets to avoid some gnarly obstacles!

Think you have what it takes to be on the Top 10 Leader Board?

Umi Shoes turns 6!! (Birthday Discounts + Review)

Quality leather, unique designs and comfort are what make up Umi Children's Shoes.
Each handcrafted shoe is individually tested for safety and durability and only non toxic, environmental products are used to fashion the final product.

Take this Taffeta pair, for instance...

It's made of muted metallic chocolate leather and is elegantly designed with large flowers.
The shoes are firm on the outside but comfortable in the inside. Just by feeling the inside and checking the pliability on the outside I know that I made the right choice in picking these shoes.
I also know that they will outlive most of Bunny girl's shoes in terms of durability. Ask me how I know.....Ah, well having bought several shoes for Bunny girl over the past four and a half years, I can tell what will last and what won't! (It's a Mommy Experience Gift that devlops over the years!!)

I love that the Tafetta can be worn for a dressy event (I love the embroidered flower work) yet also to school as the skid proof soles allow my little Energizer Bunny to run up and down the gym and clamber all over the playground equipment safely....and comfortably.

Now wouldn't you say that this is more than just a 'little' love for little feet? I'd say it's quite a generous serving, wouldn't you?

Buy it:

You can buy the Taffeta pair for 65 US$ + free shipping (All orders above 50 US$ enjoy free shipping)

Now the prices may seem a little out of budget but you're fortunate. To celebrate their 6th Birthday Umi Shoes is floating a discount on all online orders from 12 am on September 14- 11.30 pm on September 17 2010

Just enter the code Bday6 during checkout and get 15% off you order.

CLOSED:Promoting healthy foot development- Tsukihoshi Shoes (+BTS Giveaway #21)

This post is a 'Back To School 2010 Carnival' feature on Energizer Bunny's Mommy Reports.

The Carnival runs from August 15-August 28 2010. For a list of all the live giveaways visit 'The BTS 2010 Stop!'

* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*

Tsukihoshi shoes are not just regular outdoor play shoes. They're Japanese manufactured shoes exclusively created for the "health and comfort of children's feet". Their shoes have even been awarded the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance for promoting healthy foot development.

The Pink Tsukihoshi Child 05 shoes Bunny girl was sent looked like sports shoes I'd buy from the sports store. It was only after reading up about the brand that I realized I held a well researched and carefully designed product that was made to cradle my little one's feet in a comfortable space as she wore the same.

I'm still amazed that the manufacturers of her shoes have actually gone to the lengths of ensuring her shoes are quatro-functional. All Tsukihoshi shoes have

1. Balanced landing
Children's feet may tend to over-pronate (land on the arch side) when walking. As a result, children need more stability in their shoes. Tsukihoshi's solid half sock board and a solid heel counter help to provide this stability in the heel area.

2. Arch Support
Like many parts of a child's foot, the arch of a child's foot is not yet fully formed. Tsukihoshi's ''Molded Cup Insole'' is designed for children's arches while helping to neutralize foot odor

3. Light and Flexible
Children's feet can not bend and kick forward well because they are not yet fully developed. Tsukihoshi's latest innovation, a "Flex-Joint Outsole" helps to allow children's feet to bend along the line from the joint of the big toe to that of the little toe.

4. Barefoot-like Comfort
Excessive inward tilting towards the arches when walking and running is very common among children. Tsukihoshi's ''Comfortable Shoe Last'' provides space in the toe area to help keep the child's toe in an unrestricted position, allowing them to splay on contact with the ground.

The shoes are easy for Bunny girl to put on and take off especially when she wears them to preschool, thanks to the 'wide and curved velcro fastener.' (During play time she loves playing dress up with her friends. They get to wear different costume shoes and being able to get her shoes of easily helps avoid the struggle of getting them off and on.)

Two features that make my Mommy heart smile are the fact these are machine washable (high points on my Mommy list!) and that the shoes have an anti-bacterial insole. (Can you believe that??The cup insole is coated with green tea polyphenol...Wow! Wish our shoes had these!!)

Hubby loves the fact that the soles are flexible. (In his list this is a big determinant on whether the shoes get approved by him or not. Hubby says a child's shoe should have a flexible sole especially as their feet are tender and still developing. This helps in nurturing a healthy foot growth.)

I think Tsukihoshi shoes are beautifully designed and functionally superior. I honestly hope they extend their presence in more stores around us and seriously consider pricing the shoes at a more competitive rate to trigger a sales growth with the common man market base.

Buy it:

You can buy a pair of Pink Tsukihoshi Child 05 shoes for anywhere between 52 US$ - 56 US$ in a store close to you or online.

Win it:

One reader will have the opportunity to win one pair of Tsukihoshi shoes (winner's choice)
