Sophie the Giraffe Celebrates Her 50th Birthday With A Contest.

Our favorite giraffe has decided to take an excursion across the pond from her native France and is asking her American fans for assistance in her travels.

We had the privilege of hosting Madame Sophie at our humble abode. We planned to take Madame Sophie out to see our beautiful city but she had other plans in mind once she saw Bunny girl's 'book-alicious' library.


We did all we could to get "our lady" to budge but nothing could keep her away from pouring over page after page of color, excitement and adventure!


After hours of reading, we thought the opportunity had finally come to sneak her away from the room when Sophie found a book on giraffes....((GREAT!))

More than half of Americans say that an Italian restaurant is also the perfect place to bring friends (55%) or a date (54%).

Additional findings included:

· If given the choice to sit down to an Italian dinner with a special person like a relative, movie star, celebrated athlete or the President of the United States, among others, 47 percent of Americans would choose a family member.

· Nearly one-fourth of Americans admitted that they wish a delicious meal would never end.

· If choice was no longer an option when it came to pasta sauces, 74 percent of Americans would stick to meat sauce, Alfredo or marinara sauce for the rest of their lives.

· When it comes to food, 35 percent of Americans associated Italian cuisine with generosity and abundance, more than any other type of food. Other fare that comes to mind includes American (31%), Asian (18%) or Mexican (13%).
