CLOSED: Accurate Measures with Eat Smart's Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale (+Giveaway)

* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*

I love to experiment with new recipes and have my standard measures at easy reach at all times when in the kitchen but there are those occasional recipes that call for 375 grams of carrots and that's when the recipe gets scrapped and stuffed way into the back of my recipes drawer.

Well atleast that was the case till Eat Smart e-mailed asking if I was interested to try out their Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale.

Now with my handy aid by my side I've been able to rescue quite a few "neglected" recipes!

The Buzz:

The 8" x 6" x 1.5" Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale is incredibly lightweight (13 ounces) and compact.

It's accuracy varies +/- 0.05 ounces and provides a reading in your choice of a Metric Measure (lbs and ounces) or Imperial Measure (grams and kilograms).

Additional features include:
  1. An easy two button operation
  2. Tare Feature- i.e. Subtracts the weight of any plate or container (This is a great feature!@)
  3. The ability to measure a maximum weight of 11 lbs or 5 kilograms.
  4. A 3 minute auto turnoff that helps stretch the life of your AAA batteries (Requires 2 AAA batteries to function)
The Scale also comes with a free Calorie Factors Book, making it easy to achieve goals such as portion control and calorie counting.

E.B. Mommy's Report:

All in all this scale is the kitchen scale you'd want to go for especially considering the slashed price it's presently available at.

My only worry is if I drop the same (I have to admit that I sometimes turn into Clumsy Clara while rushing through a recipe when the kids are at home and I'm trying to set yet another "Beat The Recipe Clock" record!!) as it is more delicate than my other not as acuurate, bulky, non digital kitchen scale.

I haven't used the Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale for a long duration of time but I trust the Eat Smart brand based on the great experience we've had so far with their Digital Bathroom Scale, that is still going strong despite regular use over the past year.

So yes, I would definitely say..."Go For The Scale!"

Buy it:

You can buy Eat Smart's Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale for a reduced price of 25 US$ on Amazon. (Original price: 44.95 US$)

CLOSED: Think Snapware! (+ Gift Pack Giveaway)

* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*

Need a storage and organizational solution for your Home? Then think Snapware!
This 16 year old company has high quality and innovative cases, boxes, canisters and jars to help you get those odds and ends into ship-shape order and your kitchen looking pretty again, minus those plastic packets and bags.

I love their Snap n Stack 2 layer cookie and cupcake carrier

Since I've recently mustered up the confidence to bake from scratch I thought this would be a great motivator for me to bake some fun 'yummies' to share with Bunny girl's friends at school and at church.

Each tray measures 10.50" x 14.00" x 3.75" and is BPA free and comes with a Snapware lifetime warranty.

We inaugurated the Snap 'n' Stack with these easy peasy, wholesome banana muffins. (Click here for the recipe)

My father-in-law has just developed a new love for Ritz low fat crackers and Bunny girl for oatmeal cookies.
To store their 'new loves', I've placed the crackers in this 12 cup airtight, flip top, BPA free cookie jar canister. (Waiting for this to empty out to store a batch of freshly baked oatmeal and raising cookies!)

The oatmeal chewies are in the 4.1 cup airtight, flip top, BPA free canister. The Christmas tree pattern around the canister will be perfect to tie in with the festive baked goods to come over the next few weeks!

Both storage canisters keep the stored goods fresh and crisp and both make it easy for even tiny hands to open and reach in for a baked treat when Mommy says yes.

We were also sent two 4.5 cup BPA free, airtight and leakproof food storage containers.

These are microwave safe, dishwasher safe and freezer safe.
(I personally prefer microwaving food on glass plates, glass containers or one of my Corelle plates.)

If you're looking for storage options to protect your Christmas ornaments, don't forget to visit the Holiday storage tab.

It's no wonder that there are more than just a handful of customer testimonials that pop up when you visit the Snapware site.
It's an honest reflection of the company's philosophy to "make sure that every Snapware product that finds its way into your home will exceed your expectations."
How true.

CLOSED: Cookware.com Rocks! (+CSN Stores Giveaway)

* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*

Awww...did you think I forgot about this teaser post and the gorgeous goodies from CSN's Cookware.com site?
Au contraire mes amis. Au contraire!
I've actually been trying out my Rachel Ray Hard Anodized 8 Quart Oval Covered Pasta Pot (Wow what a mouthful!), much to the excitement of my family!
(You see we all love a good meal...Bunny girl included!)

I have 2 great large sized cooking pans for when I need to cook large servings and have been meaning to add to my collection mainly because I love whipping up a meal when people visit our home. It has recently been such a pain to cook and then immediately wash out the 2 pans just to cook up other dishes for a meal.

Now all of us know that you can't just buy any old pan in the market. It has to be durable, safe for the family (we've all heard the horror health stories caused by peeling non stick pans) and kind to the pocket!....and that's why I love Cookware.com.

I set eyes on my Rachel Ray Pasta Pot and fell in love!...
But I was 'hooked' all the way once I saw the slashed price tag next to the picture-149.95 US$ slashed down to 79.95 US$ (+ shipping is free!)

Now is that a bargain or what?

Yes I did whip up some delicious spaghetti and meat sauce, generously topped with sprinkled cheese

and
sumptuous vegetable pilaf

and
a family favorite- Chicken Biryani.

The verdict - 5 stars!

I didn't have to use too much oil (I cooked all three dishes from start to finish, in the Pasta Pot) and the food cooked evenly even though the pot was too large to sit completely on my stove coil. This is a great investment especially at this price. I'm more than plain satisfied, I'm delighted with my new kitchen jewel!

Cookware.com is a great place to shop for your kitchen especially as you can compare various brands and prices .... AND get the best value for the money you spend!

One of my readers will be blessed to have 'Paula Deen' or 'Rachel Ray' in their kitchen with their choice of.....

Rachel Ray's Bubble & Brown 4 piece 10 oz Ramekin set- in Blue, Orange or Yellow

OR

Paula Deen's 4 Piece Steak Knife Set

OR

Rachel Ray's Bubble & Brown Personal Au Gratin(set of 2)-in Orange, Yellow or Blue

OR

Paula Deen's 9x9" Stoneware Baker in Green

Excited?

Well hurry on down and enter the giveaway to win!
