Winter is coming and it’s time for Strawberry and her friend to celebrate in Strawberry Shortcake: The Glimmerberry Ball Movie. Strawberry and friends prepare to celebrate the coming of winter with a secret gift exchange and a festive winter ball. But, when someone destroys their decorations and the girls all carve the same design in the Glimmerberry Ball lantern event, they have some mysteries to solve in an endearing fun-filled adventure.

Strawberry Shortcake: The Glimmerberry Ball Movie is a full length CGI animated film that has an approximate run time of 64 minutes. It also includes three bonus features-a 'Never Say Never' sing-a-long music video, a Read Along storybook with Strawberry and her friends and printable coloring pages.



In Strawberry Shortcake: Berrywood Here We Come, Strawberry and friends head to Berrywood to visit Strawberry’s movie star friend, Limelight. When they arrive, they’re shocked to see not everything is glitz and glamour. They must come together to help Limelight realize that everyone can shine – because everyone is a star! In part two, Hooray for Berrywood!, Strawberry and friends bring their Berrywood experience home and help re-open a local theater by working all together as a team.

Strawberry Shortcake: Berrywood Here We Come has an approximate run time of 64 minutes. It also includes one bonus feature- printable coloring pages.


Ever since we watched The Sky's The Limit, Bunny girl has found a new love for Strawberry Shortcake, her friends, Pupcake and little Custard. Between the two dvds she did prefer Strawberry Shortcake: The Glimmerberry Ball Movie but both dvds are entertaining and subtly show the young viewer that friendship, teamwork and a willing heart to help are 'berry' important in life.

CLOSED: Sweet Surprise Doll and Dinoroars (+ Giveaway)

If your little girl has reached that phase of playing hairdresser with your hair and you are trying to save your head from being yanked to the left to the right and have had enough mini heart attacks seeing the little clumps of hair on the floor after 'hairstyle' time...then you really have to go out and get her Hasbro's Strawberry Shortcake Sweet Surprise.
From one Mom to another, I'm telling you Strawberry can save you from bald patches....big time!

Thankfully Bunny girl's Sweet Surprise came at a time when she was due for a reward for a milestone she'd crossed, so she got the doll the same day it came in and boy, what a treat it was to see her open the package.


Strawberry Shortcake Sweet Surprise has yummy strawberry smelling waist length hair and comes with 2 barrettes with Shimmer Shine hair extensions, 4 hair clips, 2 sheets of little accessory stickers and a neat 'make up' pen.

Bunny girl has the sniffles right now so I haven't told her about the fun things she can do with the 'make up' pen as yet. (If you fill the 'make up' pen with water and freeze the same till the water turns to ice, you can then use the pen on her eyes, cheek and lips to see 'make up' magically appear!)

Right now she's happy styling and re-styling Strawberry's beautiful red hair.


The clips have been strategically placed on specific strands of hair, admired and then taken off and placed strategically on a new position on the doll's head.

I honestly don't mind as long as Bunny girl's playing with Strawberry's hair and not mine!

I was also sent this ferocious little fellow from Playskool

I'm saving this Dinoroars Hatchlings T-Rex for one of my friend's little boys. I'm sure he'll have a blast seeing this little one in action. (Reminds me of a tamer version of one of those dinos on Jurassic Park!)



The little dino from Kota & Pals has certain 'touch and watch me roar' spots and even snaps open its jaws for 'food' when you touch its tongue.

CLOSED: Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Cafe (R&G)

When the doorbell rang a few days ago and the Fedex guy stood on our doorsept with this huge oversized package I was thrilled. He quietly whispered "Are you planning to ship your daughter anywhere?", laughed out loud and walked away. The box was honestly that huge!!!!

Bunny girl was eager to open the box but I managed to distract her and get her into bed for a nap before I attacked the package myself and boy, what a treat that was! Our enormous box held 2 playsets that would excite any little preschooler....2 fun imagination playsets from Hasbro!
(Note: I will be reviewing both playsets as individual posts )

After spending a little time playing with the sets myself (ok so I admitted it!), I found safe hiding places for both goodies.
*As a rule, as parents we generally do not give Bunny girl toys unless they've been earned or as a treat for something she has gone through or done. The only exception to this rule is when I get children's books for review...they're given to her right away. Yes it does get hard but we feel it's important for her to be able to value what she receives and helps her enjoy the toy concerned to the max.*
Thus I don't have any photographs of Bunny girl with both sets as she will get one along with her Christmas prezzie and the other on a later occasion.

The playset that she will get for Christmas is the Strawberry Shortcake Berry Cafe.


Strangely enough my sister sent her 2 of Strawberry's buddies in the mail for Christmas and she has a little Strawberry Shortcake figure of her own, (Did I mention Bunny girl loves playing with her little figurines and figures?....they're a whole collection of characters, animals and what not stuff she has been collecting over a year and a half!) so this playset is just perfect!



The Berry Cafe is complete with all the little odds and ends Strawberry Shortcake needs to get the cafe in clockwork functionality! Your little girl can send Strawberry (yes the playset comes with its very own scented Strawberry figurine) up the little staircase to take a nap in her little bedroom and come rushing down to whip up some delicious ice cream muffins, waffles, cupcakes, pancakes and croissants. When all is done, she can place the goodies in her little basket and fly away to her friends in Berry Bitty city using her best ride of all...the little blue bird. (you can get the little bird to actually spin around)

If your little one loves imagination play, like mine does, this playset will be an absolute treat. (I can't wait to see Bunny girl's reaction when she gets this!)

I wouldn't suggest buying this off Amazon as they're presently selling this for 57.75 US$ ...ouch! ToysRUS is selling this at a much cheaper price at 29.99 US$. (You can also check these stores)
The playset is a suggested gift for children 4 years and older.
