The Rolling Toy Parade

Nick has been picked to lead the Rolling Toy Parade going through Umi City. As he proudly makes his way to the Park, his lion toy tumbles down a hill, breaks apart and is foraged by park animals! Team Umizoomi must decode Mr. Squirrel’s doorbell pattern, search his tree trunk burrow for the missing wheels, embark on a high altitude chase with Mama Hawk and teach the Baby Hawks how to braid a pull string.

The Legend of the Blue Mermaid

Team Umizoomi discovers the statue of the Blue Mermaid (Jordin Sparks) while visiting the beach. According to legend, the mermaid with her sparkly blue scales once lived happily in the water by Umi City. But one day, a scheming squid named Squiddy captured the mermaid so that he could keep her sparkling light all to himself. The team must count, recognize shapes and identify patterns in order to rescue the Blue Mermaid from Squiddy’s secret sand castle. It won’t be an easy task as Squiddy will stop at nothing to keep Team Umizoomi from using their mighty math powers to save the day.

Kite Festival

Today is the Umi City Kite Festival and Jeannie is ready to fly her beautiful dragon kite. Out of nowhere, a strong gust of wind blows the kite out of her hands and scatters its colorful shaped pieces throughout Umi City. Luckily, Geo is a shape expert and the Team is positive they can find all the missing pieces. They rappel down city billboards, build a hot air balloon and search the tops of skyscrapers. Can they get Jeannie’s Dragon kite back together in time for the Festival?

Wild West Toy Train Show

Geo can’t wait to meet his friend Ethan at The Smokey Mountain Toy Train Show and see all the cool trains! As he gets ready to leave the Secret Headquarters, the Umi-Alarm sounds. Ethan’s golden ticket for the show has blown into the exhibit and landed somewhere at the top of Smokey Mountain! Team Umizoomi springs into action and hops a ride on the toy trains to the top of Smokey Mountain. Along the way, they use their math powers to get through Crystal Cave, cross Rumble Bridge, pan for gold and build a new engine with Geo’s super shapes.


The DVD also includes special features and a Math mission card for your child to solve on-the-go math problems.


E.B. Mommy's Report:

The little Umizoomi mathematical superheroes tie in songs and lessons to teach children even as young as 2 elementary math problems and get them to develop a love for numbers. Bunny girl has never really paid attention to Umizoomi but this DVD helped fuel a little Umi love, I think! She loves maths and Hubby has been bouncing of little addition and subtraction story scenarios for her to solve so the 4 episodes were interestingly fun especially the 'Rolling Toy Parade' one.

If you haven't introduced your preschooler to Umizoomi yet, I definitely suggest doing that soon.

E.B. Mommy's Report:

It goes without saying that Nick Jr. cartoons get a thumbs up in our home (Well atleast most of them. We do not allow Bunny girl to watch Spongebob Squarepants for more reasons than one!) I'm sure your kids will be as thrilled as Bunny girl was when she discovered that this DVD pack held not one or two DVDs but 3 fun DVDs!
The joy was a little short-lived as she'd watched two of the packs earlier (Click on the links to read my earlier reviews for Sisters and Brothers & Summer Vacation.) but that didn't stop her from asking if she could watch Summer Vacation all over again!

A few days later we did watch We Love Our Friends and Bunny girl's favorite episode of all was 'Love Day' with Blue. I think she was tickled pink to see Cinderella live after her fairytale story and royal marriage! The Wonderpets and the lovebugs was another favorite.

This pack will make a great "for the road trip" carry along!

Go, Diego, Go! – Panchita the Prairie Dog

All our favorite Nick Jr. characters (except for Max and Ruby) feature in this fun summer entertainer. All 6 episodes were new ones for Bunny girl and though she has officially hit the preschool graduating line, the characters still held her attention. Her recent interests center around animal explorers so both the Diego and Wonder Pets episodes stood out for her. This is a great collection that will not only entertain your preschooler but also intertwine learning with fun.

E.B. Mommy's Report:

We actually enjoyed watching this DVD even though we're not very big Yo Gabba Gabba! fans. Bunny girl thought "Circus" and "Fun" were the most entertaining. We've been talking to Bunny girl about the importance of making healthy choices when it comes to food and addressing the importance of portion sizes in the "Fun" episode dealt with this from another angle.(I know it seemed like we'd conspired with DJ Lance and the gang to bring up the subject!)

As a Mommy I can't understand why Bunny girl enjoys watching Foofa and the DJ but I have to admit that the songs and episodes do convey a simple but educational thought for the young viewer.

Go, Diego, Go! – Green Iguana Helps Abuelito Plant a New Strawberry Farm

It’s time for Abuelito’s Strawberry Festival, but when a strong wind blows all the strawberries away, Alicia must ask Diego for help. Green Iguana can save the day by transporting strawberry seeds in her belly and putting them into the soil so more strawberries can grow. They have to climb up trees to get to the top of the cliff, use stilts to get through the grass, swim through the lily pads and help iguana camouflage to hide from a scary animal. Most importantly, Iguana must get to Abuelito’s farm!


The Wonder Pets! - Save the Bee/Save the Squirrel

The Wonder Pets shrink down to bee-size to help a baby bee collect nectar for her first hive. Later on, a piglet comes to live in the classroom and the Wonder Pets each want to take care of it on their own. Eventually, they realize they need to work together to take care of the rather large piglet.


Blue’s Clues - The Grow Show

To find out what Blue wants to do outside, come help look for clues to learn the process of where orange juice comes from with Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper; investigate the elements of length and volume by comparing inchworms and puddles with Shovel and Pail; and categorize fruits and vegetables by where they grow with the felt friends.


Yo Gabba Gabba! – Eat

The characters learn the fun of eating vegetables and healthy meals. During “Party in My Tummy” and “Snacky Snack Snack” the vegetables beg to participate; and then the characters learn to try new things in “Try It You’ll Like It.” And finally, everyone learns that cleaning up their mess is just as fun as having a party in “Clean It Up”.


Ni Hao, Kai-lan – Happy Chinese New Year

It’s Chinese New Year, which means a big feast and red envelopes with friends and family! Kai-lan and her friends are thrilled because this year, they’re old enough to carry the huge dragon costume. Rintoo is assigned to march in the middle of the dragon but he doesn’t think the middle is important so he walks away. Without Rintoo, they can’t carry the dragon so Kai-lan must find a way to show Rintoo that every job on a team is important. In the end, the Dragon Team comes together to make the dragon dance and Yeye ends the day by giving a special red envelope to everyone.


E.B. Mommy's Report:

Nickelodeon Favorites: Food with Friends DVD was a treat to watch especially as the DVD included a rare Blues Clues feature and our favorite little Wonder Pets. The Dora Mother's Day cake episode has always been one of Bunny girl's favorites so that was an added bonus and the very fact that Hubby and she have been developing our little garden, made the Diego episode all the more enjoyable to watch.
The Kailan and Yo Gabba Gabba episodes have been seen before and maybe both shows don't appeal to my "soon to grow out of being a preschooler" as much as they did before so she preferred to opt out of watching them all together.
Nevertheless this DVD has been added to the "keep" collection for now!

It’s the Twins’ 1st birthday! Abuela’s making Guillermo a banana cake and Isabella a strawberry cake – her favorite! As they wait for the cakes to bake, Dora tells a Super Babies story! Once upon a time, there was a cake-snatching bear who stole everyone’s birthday cake. This was a job for the Super Babies! They bounced across the Bouncy House, caught a ride with Tico through the Piñata Forest, and made it to the Bear’s Castle to get back the birthday cakes and save everyone’s birthday.

Baby Winky Goes Home!

Dora and Boots find a lovable little space creature named Winky. He came to visit with his family, Purple Planet’s Inky, Dinky, Plinky, Flinky and Al, but he got lost! Winky must get back to his family before their spaceship takes off. They set off singing a Spanish hopping song over Hopscotch Bridge, blow giant rocks into bubbles, and float all the way to the top of the Tallest Mountain.


Dora's Pegaso Adventure

Dora and Boots are playing a game of hide-and-seek with their friends Little Star and some animal constellations: Pegaso (the flying horse), a Baby Bear, a Lion and a Whale. Suddenly, a meteor shower rushes by scaring all of the animals away! The sky goes dark except for Little Star and Pegaso. If the constellations don’t come home to the moon before the sun comes up, they’ll never find their way home! They race against the sun and take a Pegaso ride to find the animal constellations.


E.B. Mommy's Report:

Dora the Explorer: It's Haircut Day DVD was a nice change as Bunny girl hasn't seen any of the four episodes before and one of them even features the Super Babies. She also enjoyed the Pegaso Adventure as Hubby had spent one evening with her pointing out the Big Dipper and the North Star. As with all the Dora episodes she watches, these too had my 5 year old leaping off the couch to shout out directions and answer questions when asked by the little Explorer and her friends.

Dora is loved to bits at our home, so much so that I stumbled in on Bunny girl teaching Bunny Boo to say "Dora" a few days ago. Dora's next little fan in line now babbles "Dowa" when asked and I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before the two of them will be watching episodes together!

Ruby needs quiet while she tries to write a story, but Max wants to play cowboy. Fortunately, he helps Ruby come up with the perfect idea for her story.


Max’s Dominos

Ruby and Louise want to earn their hospitality badge by hosting a Bunny Scout Meeting. Meanwhile, Max and Morris are busy exploring the domino effect with a variety of toys culminating in a terrific welcome for Bunny Scouts.


Grandma’s Attic

Max & Ruby explore in Grandma’s attic. While Ruby is delighted to try on old clothes, Max finds an old chest that Grandma says nobody ever goes into. When he finds the key, they both get a surprise.


Bunny Cakes

Ruby wants to surprise Grandma with an angel cake with raspberry fluff icing for her birthday. However, Max wants to make Grandma an earthworm cake with red-hot marshmallow squirters. After a few mishaps in the kitchen and a few trips to the grocery store, Grandma gets both!


Bunny Party

Ruby is preparing a surprise birthday party for Grandma and she invited all her dollies as guests. Meanwhile, Max thinks that some of his toy friends should also be at the party. It’s not long before Ruby discovers that there are too many guests and not enough chairs.


Bunny Money

Ruby has saved just enough money to buy Grandma a music box with skating ballerinas on top for her birthday. She soon finds however that shopping with Max costs more than she planned.


Ruby’s Safari

Ruby and Louise have to fill out the last page of their Bunny Scout Scrapbook. They decide to have a safari in the backyard to get a picture of a special creature. However, Max keeps leading them astray with his animal toys. In the end, his red rubber elephant attracts a hummingbird and the girls get their photo.


Max’s Mud Bath

Ruby and Louise set up there beauty shop again and want to give Max an all-natural treatment with crushed up fruits and veggies. However, Max thinks the treatment looks quite tasty and would rather play in the mud.


Max’s Lost Lizard

Ruby and Louise are making a terrarium for the Bunny Scout chameleon, and Max is very interested in the “lizard!” When the chameleon escapes, Max is the only one who sees through its camouflage. Thankfully, Max manages to help get it safely back in the girls’ finished terrarium.


Ruby's Rainbow

Ruby wants to paint a perfect rainbow for Grandma but she can’t remember the colors or the order they go in. When Max says “Backyard,” Ruby says he can’t go outside because it’s raining. However when she finally follows him outside, she sees there’s a rainbow in the backyard.


Home Tweet Home

Ruby and Louise build a birdhouse. Max says “Hungry” so Ruby gets him a peanut butter sandwich, berries and sunflower seeds. When the birds don’t come near the birdhouse, Max uses the treats to attract the birds.


Max's Mudpie

Max keeps trying to make a mudpie but Ruby wants him to stay clean because Grandma is coming over and she’s got something very special. In the end, Max gets himself and Ruby mucky. It turns out that Grandma’s surprise is a double chocolate fudge treat she calls “Mudpie!”



E.B. Mommy's Report:

Bunny girl has watched these episodes on Nick Jr earlier but it was still fun watching "Mommy" Ruby (I think she plays the part of being a stand-in Mommy to Max wonderfully!) and "always into something" Max in action again. Our favorite episodes were Home Tweet Home, Max's Lost Lizard, Bunny cakes and Bunny Party.

If you haven't seen these two adorable bunnies, you really should. Max will entertain you with his "little boy" antics and Ruby will put a smile on your face with her "Know it all" confidence!

Cotton-top Tamarin Cave Rescue

Diego has a surprise for the lonely cotton-top tamarin singing in a cave. Alicia and Baby Jaguar have been planting lots of trees for the Tamarins so they can move back to the forest. When the Bobos accidentally block the cave’s entrance, Diego sets out to find another way out of the cave so he can reunite all the tamarins.

Bengal Tiger Makes a Wish

Diego is in India helping animals after a big rainstorm when he meets Benji the Bengal Tiger. His mother had told him that if he ever got lost, she would wait for him at the Wishing Tree, but he doesn’t know how to get there! Diego sets out to the Wishing Tree and along the way helps many animal friends who have wishes.


Diego Saves Baby Humpback Whale

A baby humpback whale is beached on a rocky island and can't get back into the ocean! Diego sets off to save the humpback whale, running through a rainforest obstacle course and swimming with Tuga the Leatherback Sea Turtle past jellyfish and sharks. When Diego reaches the baby humpback whale, he leads the other humpback whales in making big waves to lift the beached humpback whale into the ocean and back to her mommy.


Jorge the Little Hawk Learns to Migrate

It’s getting really cold and Jorge the Hawk is ready to migrate to the Warm Forest. Diego must help build a bird place to help Jorge fly home. On this sky-high adventure, Diego and Jorge catch a ride on the warm windy wind, fly through the foggy fog, avoid a lightning storm, and finally make it all the way to the Warm Forest.


Egyptian Camel Adventure

Diego visits his friend Medina in Egypt to learn all about camels when they realize the river in Medina’s town is drying out. They must find a way to fill it up again for the camels and other desert animals to have enough water to drink. They learn of the legend of the golden cloud, which can bring water back to the river, and head out to find it.

We love this DVD maybe because it has one fun "animal rescue" set in beautiful India and what better animal to pick than the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger!

Bunny girl adores animals and honestly I have a preference for Diego over his cousin Dora only because I personally enjoy the simple but rich "animal" learning experience the young viewer gets to enjoy, absorb and recollect. All 6 episodes were new for us and since Diego airs while Bunny girl is away at preschool, this was a treat.

Great buy for the price!
