Embracing Summer with DownEast Basics (+Giveaway)

The Buzz:

When I look at my DownEast Basics pieces three words pop to my mind....comfort, style and quality. I am yet to find a bone to pick with what I own and I'm believing the same is true of every single piece in the DownEast Basics collection.

The collection goes through a fresh overhaul with every new season and with the summer months ahead, comes a refreshing new set of skirts, dresses and tops like this beautiful Antique Top.

Since Bunny Boo's birth I've not had to really work at trying to lose the baby flab I put on. Somehow nursing both my children from the day they were born always helped lose the flab! I've also lost an additional few pounds running around after my energetic Bunny Boo especially after he discovered he could be "Road Runner" on his little feet!

Now while all this sounds like a great alternative to the gym, I have to admit that it's not always easy to find something flattering especially if you have skinny hands and a prominent collarbone. Thankfully the Antique Top in brush, with its rayon/spandex fabric makeup clings to all the right places and throws off the focus from my collarbone area.


The flitter-flutter sleeves (as I love to call them) help add a little volume to my skinny shoulder/arm area.



But what makes me really love this top is the gorgeous intricate bodice work the top showcases.



I've paired the top with black jeans and on another occasion with formal pants and it looked great. A perfect piece to have in your closet if you need to dress up or sport the casual yet elegant look.

Once again DownEast Basics has won my vote for comfort, style and quality!

High Style Dressing at Low Prices with DownEast Basics (Review Only)
