If you saw the Natural History series 'Planet Earth' and were mesmerized with the beauty of all that was captured on tape, you WILL NOT want to miss watching BBC America's 'Life'.

This 4 disc, 10 part series, filmed over a period of 3000 days and highlighting 130 stories is, to put it very simply, in just one word....BREATHTAKING!

Oprah Winfrey lends her voice to the documentary and introduces the viewer to the amazing antics of creatures both big and small.

BBC's 'Life' showcases footage using the latest filming techniques, incredible patience and the eye to capture the unseen in these ten episodes:

• Challenges of Life
• Reptiles and Amphibians

• Mammals
• Fish
• Birds
• Insects

• Hunters and Hunted
• Creatures of the Deep

• Plants and

• Primates

Take a peek at this trailer to taste a sample of the goodies this 8 hour long dvd/blu-ray pack offers....

Since we're in the middle of boxes and slowly settling into our new home, our family had to watch the first disc on the only small screen available in the house at the time. Bunny girl cuddled up on the couch with my Mother, her friend who was visiting and my sister. I know they didn't expect the screen to come alive with the colorful world of animals nor did they expect to become so involved in the series that they boisterously cheered on hunted prey as they escaped from their hunters' clutches, sat awestruck as they watched intelligent dolphins work as a team to get their 'lunch' for the day and laughed their sides apart as they watched a member of the Meerkat family fall (literally!) asleep while standing amongst his tribe!

Hats off to the Production team for putting together this masterpiece.
This is a one of a kind production that should be watched on a big screen to really grasp the awesomeness of God's Creation in action.

There are a few books I remember enjoying as a child and one was always Eric Hill's sweet yellow dog, Spot's series.
Strangely I never did get an opportunity to introduce Bunny girl to the Spot books, so the request to review BBC's recent release Where's Spot? - The 30th Anniversary Edition, was gladly welcomed.

Where's Spot? is packed with 9 short but entertaining puppy fun episodes that will engage any toddling youngster.

Your little one will go look for a hiding Spot with Sally and later help him look for a buried bone, find the right lock that fits a key he found and join him jump into rain puddles.

The 9 episodes in this 30th Anniversary Edition include

• Where's Spot?
• Spot's lost Bone
• Spot at the playground
• Spot goes to the park
• Spot finds a key
• Spot goes splash!
• Spot's bath (bonus episode)

• Spot's umbrella (bonus episode) and

• Spot's treehouse (bonus episode)

Each episode has its own little theme song and the dvd also includes an interactive Shapes and Colors Game.

I think the dvd transported me back to my childhood and reminded me of the books that were read to me as a child. I think if Bunny girl was a year or 2 younger, she would've enjoyed the dvd more.
