The Buzz:

It's A Blessing is an Etsy store that carries handmade gifts to bless or encourage the recipient.

Each blessing bracelet, keychain, bookmark, bracelet and blanket is prayerfully made with love by Shannon while the baby dolls are actually made by her 10 year old daughter.

This is such a sweet way to keep your little one entertained especially during a church service or an outdoor event where he/she really needs to be "seen and not heard".
These are priced very reasonably and can even serve as memorable baby shower favors or even as a special little gift you can add in a baby shower basket.

E.B. Mommy's Report:

Shannon's most popular product I would say are the blessing bracelets.

The beads on the bracelets have coordinating Scripture verses to encourage and bless the recipient. It is suggested to host a baby blessing for an expectant Mom where each bead and verse is "given" and read by a different lady, each taking a turn to share loving verses and thoughts to encourage the new Mommy and then pray with her.

Now though I thought the bracelets are unique, I'm not a "wear beads" kind of person, so even though I really loved the idea behind the Proverbs 31 bracelet I decided I'd just wait for a few weeks to see if I found something else I'd love.

But it didn't take long before I changed my mind.

Why?
Because I found the same concept styled into a keychain!....The Proverbs 31 keychain.

Read the Proverbs 31 passage below and note the beads in parenthesis that co-ordinate with the verses'....

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies (red beads).
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. (silver hearts-he loves her)
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. (yellow bead-reminder of sun-days) She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar (blue bead-a reminde of ships on water)
She gets up while it is still dark (black bead); she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard (green bead-growth). She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows (crystal bead), she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet (red bead) She makes covering for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple (purple bead). Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed (b for blessed); her husband also, and he praises her;
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Isn't that beautiful?
Proverbs 31 is a passage that has always been dear to my heart.
The day Hubby proposed to me I remember going back home, going down on my knees and praying that God would fashion me to be like that Godly woman in Proverbs 31.

Now with my keychain I will always be reminded of my prayer to the LORD that night and it will always serve as a symbol of encouragement as I head off each day in my role as Mommy and Wifey.
