So you've never been to Washington D.C. but you really want to see the much talked about historical landmark, the home to the President of the USA, the White House. Now though I would've loved to do a tour of the same with you, I guess we just need to accept the next best thing....a pictorial tour with Catherine O'Neill Grace's book, The White House: An Illustrated History.

Catherine takes the reader on a tour of the West Wing, Oval Office, the Green Room and the State Dining Room, to mention just a few of the areas you get to see. The reader is even treated to rare photographs of the Family Quarters and gets to read the inside scoop on all that happens inside this glorious building from staff and officials like the Chief Floral Designer and the Pastry Chef.

I've thoroughly enjoyed going through this book and with a little imagination, you really can picture what it's like to be IN the White House!

This book is rich with history and photographs and is definitely a recommended inclusion to your home library.

My oldest daughter loves Clifford so I need to get her that one.

My youngest doesn't care, wish they offered more baby books but I would get her a copy of Goodnight moon just like her brother and sisters.
