CLOSED: Whipping up an Italian meal with ease....Buitoni (+Giveaway)

If you have an Italian cuisine palette and crave some delicious homemade pasta with the works, consider bringing the flavors of Tuscany home with Buitoni's easy to make dishes.

Bunny girl and I love (Oh yeah...REALLY love!) Italian food. While grocery shopping last week, we decided to stop at Walmart's Deli section and pick up Buitoni's All Natural Four Cheese Ravioli (Pasta pillows filled with fresh creamy Ricotta, melting Mozarella, aged Parmesan and Romano cheeses) and their Pesto with Basil sauce. (Made with basil, garlic, pine nuts, aged Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese and olive oil)

E.B. Mommy's Report:

I have to confess that I didn't really buy the ease of throwing together a hearty Italian meal with just these two products till we actually got down to getting dinner ready last Tuesday.

All you really need to do is boil the required amount of water and then throw in your "pasta pillows" and wait till they're "al dente" in 8-9 minutes.

Then peel open your refrigerated Pesto with Basil sauce and delicately fold it into your strained pasta and....

THAT'S IT!

How much easier could that get?

Now I know the picture looks like the serving size looks like it could suffice filling only 2 hungry stomachs but honestly the dish is so rich and filling that the three of us ate to our heart's content and still had an entire plate full left for Hubby to take to work, for lunch, the next day.

My family is now excited to try out the other flavors and perhaps the next time I will make sure I have some sliced grilled chicken ready, to serve with the dish to reduce the rich"cheesy" flavors.

And next time round I think we will pick up the Reduced Fat Pesto with Basil as the sauce, though delicious (I LOVE Pesto!), was a tad too oily for my tastes.
