Yesterday (Day 19) was a great day. A day that was busy and tiring but beautiful in every way. As parents we saw how this Challenge has touched the heart of my preschooler.

As you know we've been having some great giveaways on the blog to celebrate this wonderful Christmas season and I was asked to review and feature a company I love dearly... Build-A-Bear.

Build-A-Bear is Maxine Clark's baby. I had the opportunity to listen to this inspiring lady at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference in February 2010 and ever since then my respect-o-meter has only scaled higher when I think of her 'bear'-and.(brand)
This is one company that genuinely GIVES back to the community.

Early last week I was sent a 25$ Build-A-Bear gift card to help 'build' and feature a 'Holiday' themed furry friend.

Since we were on the Challenge, I asked Bunny girl if she wanted to build a friend for a child on the Angel Tree. Now to be honest, I didn't think she would say yes considering she had such a blast at the Workshop last year but God had already prepared my preschooler's little heart and she resounded an enthusiastic "Yes Mama, lets give" without any hesitation.

So late last evening, we prayed for our 'special activity' and headed off to our local Build-A-Bear Workshop

and yes the place was all decorated to help set the mood for Bunny girl's extra-special Christmas GIVE.

I explained the reason for our visit to the sweet Store Manager there and she directed us to the 'Stuffing' station,

after Bunny girl decided she would 'build' a Clarice (whose heart lights up and who talks and recites lines from the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer movie) for the little 3 year old Angel Tree recipient.

The sales associate encouraged Bunny girl to check if Clarice was cuddly enough with a hug

and then asked her to pick a heart to place inside her now cuddly body. Bunny girl was then guided through the 'love' routine that closed with the important task of placing the 'loved on' heart inside Clarice.

Bunny girl then insisted on giving Clarice a bath.... after all she has to smell nice when her owner gets her, right?

We finally sat down and created a birth certificate for Clarice and Bunny girl re-named her Sprinkles (after her Small Frys Bunny).
We signed off the certificate with a 'Someone who loves you very much' signature and left the recipient's name blank to allow the little girl to pen in her name by herself.

The lady behind the counter, kindly packaged 'Sprinkles' a.k.a. Clarice and because she was moved at the thought behind Bunny girl's gesture, blessed her with a little Build-A-Bear coloring book and stickers.

Finally, armed with her 'Very Important Present' in hand, she marched with purpose to the Angel Tree outside the J.C. Penney store

and left her 'prezzie' under the Tree for that precious little girl who had asked for a toy/special doll this Christmas.

He was electrocuted two days ago while working for an electric company. He had to have both of his hands removed yesterday so their lives are changed in a big way forever.
