Two's company with Joovy's Ergo Caboose (Review + Reader's Discount only)

If you have 2 little ones in the house, you really should consider investing in a Joovy Ergo Caboose. This is one of the nicer double strollers out there in the market only because it's more durable, easy to set up, pack and carry....Oh and did I mention, extremely convenient for Mom and Dad?

When the Joovy Ergo Caboose came home, Hubby enlisted the help of a friend to set up the stroller as we both thought it would be too heavy for me to help him with and looking at how compact the box was, the large stroller could possibly be hard to set up.......

Guess what?....
We were pleasantly surprised!

This double stroller weighs 30 pounds, a little on the bulky side but extremely sturdy. Once you get the plastic wrapping off, set up is 'easy-peasy lemon squeezy'!

Attaching the wide based wheels was quick as they just required to be snapped into position. They rear wheels come with a brake lever to allow the stroller to stay in a secure halt position and the rear wheels are also pneumatic with a tire pump.
(All 4 wheels are sealed ball bearing wheels.)

I particularly love the large storage basket at the bottom which is so useful especially when you take the little ones outdoors for long intervals.

I can see us using this very conveniently at Disney's parks or Seaworld, once Bunny Boo is a little older.
2 little ones sheltered comfortably in the shade, all our belongings safely stowed away in the large basket....Happy Mommy and Daddy...Happy kiddos!
(Hubby's only 'hold-back' on my suggestion was his concern that someone would walk away with this great stroller while we had it parked while enjoying a show/ride!...Totally understandable!!)

The front seat on the stroller has the option of affixing the snack tray or two cup holders - one for the rider in the front and another for the rider at the back.

Another feature that's one of my favorites is the large protective canopy that can shade/shelter both riders.

The front seat is ergonomically designed and can move into 2 incline positions. Not very cushioned but fashioned for good back support. (The front seat's harness belt can be adjusted based on the child's age.)

It is suggested that a child be placed in the front seat only after he/she turns 6 months old and can be seated there till he/she reaches a maximum weight of 45 lbs and/or a maximum height of 40".

The rider at the back can sit on the contoured platform seat or stand to survey all that lies ahead (This has a seat belt too). It's safe to wait till the rear rider turns 2.5 years old to sit/stand at the back and can continue to ride 'on board' till he/she reaches the maximum weight limit of 45 lbs and/or a maximum height of 45". (The seat at the back can be flipped open to access the storage basket below.)

Now here's the icing on the cake for us.....

We don't have to wait till Bunny Boo turns 6 months old to use this stroller. We can adjust the front seating to allow for his infant car seat to be placed securely on the beam and have Bunny girl sit comfortably in the front.

Finally storing the Joovy Ergo Caboose is no struggle at all. It folds down compactly enough to fit into my Corolla without a snag. (Ofcourse once it's in there isn't any space for anything else to be stored as it lies 49" in length.)

I think this is a great double stroller for the price and for the features. (Though if you are looking for a lighter model which is not as expensive, you can consider the Joovy Caboose Ultralight 2010 )
If both your little ones are closer in age proximity, investing in this is well worth every buck spent as it is durable, sturdy and comes with every feature you could possibly need in a double stroller.

Hi - Thanks for the review! Before I buy-- do you know if it's possible to snap the car seat into the FRONT (like attaching the carseat clip to the snack tray)? I know it's not designed to be used this way but I've heard it can be done. I'd love to have the option for our three year old to sit/stand while our baby is still in the carseat OR ride in the front seat for longer trips. Thanks in advance!!
