It all began with a Stay at home Mom. 11 years ago, Sara McDonald began making natural fiber Waldorf dolls that won the heart of the market. 11 years later, her small establishment has grown. I absolutely love this 30" x 44" velour fabric (velour is a plush knitted fabric or textile generally derived from cotton that feels like velvet) mat. Not only is this soft mat slightly padded but also has a textured slip proof backing to prevent the mat from sliding all over a bare floor with a moving baby on top of it.

Do you know what I love the most about the mat? The little mouse with the crinkly ears and velvety body! Oh and guess what? Magic Cabin also includes more entertainment for your baby with a 10" tall rattle mouse with similar crinkly ears and velvety fur.

Quality wise this seems like it will last a good long while and don't let me even start about the soft, velvety feel. (Aaaah.....Baby Bliss!)
My only concern about the Play Mat is how many washes this will withstand (especially Mousey's crinkly ears) if we have several spit ups and accidents and the mat needs to go in for several 'disinfect, clean and wash' routines.
