Ever since Bunny Boo has occupied my womb my taste buds have taken a turn for the spicy things in life. I've always had a sweet tooth but strangely the past few months have seen me heading straight for the 'hot stuff' rather than my otherwise favorite sweets but last week things changed when the doorbell rang!.....

"Oooh....a present for me! C'mon lets get off the ribbon and see what's inside".....

"Gasp! That looks exciting and boy, oh boy, note the animal print tissue wrap.....ooooooooh!"

"Mmmmmm....some goodies to savor but since I'm not onto sweets right now, maybe I'll save it for dinner to serve our visiting guests with dessert."

So after a heavy meal, a plate of my assorted goodies came out and while our guests cut off bits on each and raved about how moist and delicious they were, I decided to taste one of the white baked products on the plate.

Just one bite and ZOOOM................I was catapulted into baked goods heaven. My tastebuds were awakened and once again fell in love with the sweet rich crumbly yumminess inside......Mmmmmmm.

I'm telling you if you haven't had a Hot Blondies Bakery product you ARE missing out on something!! Hubby is not a 'sweets kinda guy' and tries to watch what he eats ever so diligently but after he tasted a cut off one of Hot Blondies wonders he asked me to cut a quarter off a Blondie and a Brunette and asked me to send it with him for work 2 DAYS IN A ROW!!!.....

Hot Blondies is a gourmet bakery operated out of New York city and is the culinary brainwave of its founders Lorin Rokoff and Laura Paterson. They had a baking dream and ran with it and today their Blondies and Brunettes are big names!

So what's a Blondie and a Brunette?



To put it in a lay man's terms....a Brunette is a gourmet brownie and a Blondie is her white counterpart! These 'yummies' are rich in flavor and honestly you can't eat more than a quarter at a time, if you really want to savor every morsel.
