BabyBjorn...a familiar name in baby circles....a reliable name....a name that reminds you that their products will be considered by you when your new baby arrives.

I was sent one of their latest products- the BabyBjorn Original Organic Baby Carrier, in Walnut.

Back home, I never did use a baby carrier with Bunny girl as we didn't really take her out very much as a baby only because I worked long hours and preferred coming home, resting and spending those precious few hours relaxed with my darling bundle of joy. With Bunny Boo's arrival scheduled in about 4 months, I do know we will be out and about quite a bit especially as Bunny girl has to go to preschool and the activities, grocery shopping et al. The carrier would make things so much easier and leave my hands free to grab onto Bunny girl's while pushing a cart or holding bags.

Being one of my first experiences with a baby carrier, I was excited to try out the Organic Baby Carrier as soon as we got it. For a first timer, putting all the straps and clasps together seemed initially worrying but after following the instruction booklet, I realized it wasn't really rocket science and anybody could do it....Whew!

We ofcourse don't have the baby 'in hand' yet so we substituted with one of Bunny girl's appropriately sized Bobble head Minnie Mouse plush.

I held the carrier up a little higher than it should rest only because my Bunny Boo bump kept getting in the way!

Initially I was apprehensive the carrier would not be sturdy enough to hold 'baby' securely without me holding onto the carrier, so we tested pulling at the straps. Not one strap unlocked out of socket....which is very reassuring. Once the clasps get locked in, they can't slip out of place unless the clasps are pinched open.

The carrier is surprisingly very comfortable and snugly rests on my back. I can definitely see myself using this very frequently.

Here's what the carrier looks like with a real baby inside!

BabyBjorn has developed this product with adjustable straps, thereby enabling one to use the same for a baby weighing a minimum of 8 lbs to a maximum of 25 lbs. (Wow!)
