Nickelodeon Home Entertainment brings Yo Gabba Gabba!: Circus into your home on June 14, 2011.


The Buzz:

This 95 minute DVD features 4 active episodes that include....

Circus

Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee and Plex help Al the Ringmaster (Weird Al Yankovic) make a circus in Gabba Land! Brobee learns to be a clown and everyone gets to perform. The episode also features Sarah Silverman.


Treasure Hunt

Two special guests (Fred Armisen and Charlyne Yi) travel to Gabbaland to search for hidden treasure. As everyone joins in the search, they all do a special dance in the secret ice cave.


Flying

Brobee and friends go on a hot air balloon ride and meet new friend Sparkles.


Fun

All the Gabba characters learn different ways to have fun, learn to eat healthy portions and how to use their bodies to dance and make music.


E.B. Mommy's Report:

We actually enjoyed watching this DVD even though we're not very big Yo Gabba Gabba! fans. Bunny girl thought "Circus" and "Fun" were the most entertaining. We've been talking to Bunny girl about the importance of making healthy choices when it comes to food and addressing the importance of portion sizes in the "Fun" episode dealt with this from another angle.(I know it seemed like we'd conspired with DJ Lance and the gang to bring up the subject!)

As a Mommy I can't understand why Bunny girl enjoys watching Foofa and the DJ but I have to admit that the songs and episodes do convey a simple but educational thought for the young viewer.
