But try explaining not being in a hurry to an 'eager to see her prayer answered' little girl! Waiting is just not something little kids can do nor is it something that they enjoy one bit!
If you read my earlier post (The prayer of a child-Part 1), you'd know that my little princess is praying real hard for a sibling and the wait to see her prayer answered has been anything but easy on her!!
Here's a snippet from a conversation we had one night, just before she said her bedtime prayers....
Bunny Girl: "Mama, why isn't Jesus bringing my baby"
What do you say when you get questions like these??
Me: "It's because Jesus is answering prayers one at a time. He has a book with names of people who are praying for babies.
Silence! So I continue....
Me: Your name is going higher and higher up in the list and soon it will be your turn to have your prayer answered.
More silence and I could see she was thinking about what I'd said...Was she convinced??
After a few more seconds passed she asked
BG: Which book Mama?....... Facebook?
What happens next?........Stay tuned to read more!
Facebook? Too cute!
ReplyDeleteGuess how quickly she gets her request also depends on whether mama and daddy are praying for the same thing...or to not have another one!
This was one of my most anticipated posts of the day! And now I'm waiting for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMy son asked a similar question about one of his prayers being answered (for snow) luckily he is old enough for me to be able to say that God has a plan and may not answer the way he wants - but God always answers.
Facebook. I would have said yes, Facebook, because God knows what everyone's faces look like since he created them all.
ReplyDeleteLOL. your bunny is a clever girl!
