Curious Chef Measure & Prep Kit (Festive R&G)

Guess what Bunny girl's favorite television channel is other than Disney and Nick Jr......it's the Food Network Channel!!! She actually finds great joy in watching the chefs whip up culinary masterpieces and watch budding chefs battle their skills out in challenges like the Iron Chef, Chopped and Cake Wars.

Bunny girl insists she will be the next Iron Chef and since she has developed a love for all things culinary at 3 years 8 months, I'm definitely not going to be one to dissuade her new interest! Oh and her favorite chef is Bobby Flay....oops....I mean Iron Chef Bobby Flay. (In Bunny girl's presence we aren't permitted to call him 'Bobby Flay', we're expected to respectfully call him 'Iron Chef Bobby Flay'!)

When I was given the opportunity to review a Curious Chef product, I jumped to pick the 17 pc Measure and Prep Gift Kit.

The set includes:
  • A large poly spoon
  • A kitchen timer (The day we received the kit, we had to listen to that timer go off every hour as Bunny girl used that to time when she wanted to play, eat, do puzzles etc. 3 hours into the 'ding ding ding's' Hubby hid the timer!)
  • 6 measuring spoons for different proportions
  • 6 measuring cups for different proportions
  • 3 prep bowls of different sizes
  • A shopping list pad and
  • A Measure and Prep Sticker sheet

I initially thought we'd bake a cake as our inaugural mission with the kit but Bunny girl wanted to make her Daddy a vanilla pudding fruit salad for her Daddy, so that's we just did.

Bunny girl did all the measuring, stirring, mixing and scooping out while I just cut the fruits into bite size pieces. For a final touch, she asked to top it all off with sprinkles and insisted we serve the vanilla pudding fruit salad in the prep bowls...I guess the colors looked happier than our regular mundane glass bowls!

I would say Curious Chef is the Pampered Chef for kids! The products are kid friendly and kid sized. If your kids love helping out in the kitchen I would suggest you take a look at some of the fun products Curious Chef offers to aid your little helpers make holiday cookies, pizzas, sundaes, cakes...and even vanilla pudding fruit salad.

This is not one of your regular Christmas presents but definitely one that is unique, involves fun, learning and some memorable family time.
