eeBoo (Festive R&G)

What better way to kick off our Festive Giveaways Gala than with some educational toys for your preschooler! eeBoo is an Educational Toy and Gift company that has a whole bunch of unique 'learning games' that are fun but at the same time do their job of teaching your child something new.

(Unfortunately their website is under construction, but if you click on the links in the left margin, you will be able to go into the individual product pages.)

Bunny girl was sent 2 fun preschool games. I love both as one helps her get a grasp on phonics and easy, small word spelling while the other helps fuel her creativity.

The Animal Spelling Puzzles are great for kids who are learning the fundamentals of letter sounds and putting sounds together to form words. The visual pictures help in putting the pieces together when your little one gets a little jumbled up in putting the letters in the right order. As mentioned earlier, Bunny girl is onto the 'Phonics' train now so I ask her to find the phonic sounds for a particular animal and get her to put the word together. The more you play the game, the more familiar your child gets with the sounds and soon the ten 3 letter animal's names will become easy sight words for your early reader.

I wasn't able to find the eeBoo price for this puzzle on the site (due to the work they're doing to revamp the same) but I do know it is available. If you would like to order a set, you can drop a line to the team and they will mail you back with details on pricing and order information.

This game is also available in Barnes and Noble's online store for 15.95 US$

The Tell Me A Story game is our family game. We spread out all 36 cards on the bed and pick a card at a time and narrate our own little version of what we think is happening in that card. The goal of the game is to pick up a card at a time and link each card's random storyline to the next card picked.

We generally sandwich Bunny girl into our turns as she is still learning to connect the story narrated by the person before her to her own. It's lots of fun as we generally end up giggling away with the crazy story plots we end up in. The three of us enjoy the game as we have a good laugh and for Hubby and self, its fun to see the exciting, creative twists Bunny girl can bring up with her little story narratives.

The Tell Me A Story packs are available at 9.95 US$ a set

Both these games will make great Christmas gifts for your preschooler.
