CLOSED: The Couponizer Review and Giveaway (BTSC- Day 21)

The winner for the giveaway has been chosen by Random.org and is announced on this post

" As a Mom, spending money is easy, the hard part is maintaining alignment of your family financial goals in the process of being a consumer"
" Overspending diminishes or stops progress towards family financial goals."
- Amy Bergin (Creator of The Couponizer)

I back Amy on this 100% and I can see most of you nodding your heads in agreement. Gosh, isn't it so easy to throw things into a shopping cart, swipe off a payment with your credit card and only later feel queasy in the tummy when you see those mounting numbers on your card statement end of the month?

Without any hesitation I can boldly say "YES, I COUPON!" I know there are some people who think couponing is crazy but when you see the savings and the amount of money that HAS NOT been spent, you will think otherwise!

I still remember standing in a checkout line 2 months ago in Target with a ton of stuff off my list and a bunch of coupons. A couple waiting to check out behind me, let out a little snicker when they saw the number of coupons I had. My bill rung up 50$ something and then I handed in my coupons. They watched as my payable amount went lower and lower and lower. I finally heard the husband gasp, turn to his wife and say something to the effect of "So much savings!" Why?....Because I waltzed out of the store paying a low single digit amount! That's the beauty of couponing!!

Want some examples ? Check out these posts (Example 1, 2, 3) I haven't been posting my frugal deals recently but I promise I will get back to doing so soon

Couponing is a habit that needs to be developed. It takes a little time to get used to (and a little unabashed approach to pull out all those coupons! ) but once you get a hang of things, you'll be on a roll!

To start couponing the first thing you need to do is get a good coupon organizer. For over a year I've struggled with a basic one with 8 pockets, no tabs and one that would rip in different places. Today I own an awesome creation by Amy Bergin....THE COUPONIZER!!! (My new shopping buddy!)

I absolutely love this! Take a look at how you use it....

How much simpler could it get?

The Couponizer comes with a mat that has The Couponizer's sub segments charted on. When you just clip coupons out of inserts or if you are transferring all your coupons to The Couponizer, this is the most organized possible way to do it. (That's what I did and honestly I never realized I have that many live, unexpired, useful coupons...wow!)

The Couponizer has 18 product categories that include Baking and Staples, Breakfast, Bakery, Paper and Plastic & Snacks.

It even comes with a little notepad to jot down your shopping list and just in case you run to the store with unclipped inserts, you even have a tiny scissor to help you get those coupons clipped out while at the store! (Amy thought of everything!)

The Couponizer even has a sleeve subdivided into pockets to hold your Store Loyalty cards, Gift Cards etc. One of my favorite segments is the 'Coupons soon to expire' segment. This way I don't forget and know for sure those coupons need to be used before they expire.

Oh and how could I forget....The Couponizer has its own little carry bag! I honestly, FINALLY, feel organized when it comes to my coupons and I say this is one product every 'determined to be organized frugalista' should own.

Buy it:

The Couponizer costs 19.95$ (buy a single Couponizer) but if you buy 3, you will 1 half off thus getting 3 Couponizers for 49.87$ (buy 3 )- if you can manage to get 2 friends to join you in buying a Couponizer, it will cost 16.62$ each.

Win it:

One reader will win his/her very own Couponizer!

Here's how you can win it:

  12. I would love to win the Couponizer for myself. Why? This one looks like the Rolls Royce of couponizers! Mine is very old, falling apart, only 7 sections, & held together with a rubber band.:-( I love seeing the money I save with coupons & my husband was really excited by the savings on a recent shopping trip. Now he asks if I have coupons to bring. I always do! :-)

  51. I'm sure this sounds crazy, but I want to win this for my AMAZING husband who, because of my illness, does all of our grocery shopping. He tries very hard to to use coupons when he can as our financial situation is pretty bleak due to my outrageous medical bills. I am pretty proud of him because he is never too proud to step up and do what needs to be done, regardless of what it is!

Thanks for the chance to win!
