The Natural Dentist carries products for adults and children. Bunny girl tested out the Berry Blast and Groovy Grape toothpastes (and so did Mommy!). Being a child, she didn't think too much about the fact that the toothpaste is "natural" and just told me she preferred the way the Berry Blast toothpaste over the Groovy Grape but if given a choice would prefer to stick to her old toothpaste.

I did notice that the toothpastes had a more flat taste and didn't foam well. I'm perhaps so used to having the froth build up while cleaning my teeth that it just gave me the feeling that the toothpaste didn't clean my teeth the way it should. The fine print on the tube does say that the same offers "cavity zapping fluoride" and clinical studies prove that these products DO work.



I like the minimal 'sting in the mouth' received with the Peppermint Twist Healthy Gum Rinse with its 20% aloe vera content. Again I'd say only a visit to the dentist would confirm how effective the rinse has been to prevent gingivitis and bleeding gums. I would be tempted to try out the Orange Zest Rinse though!

Of the 5 products received the one I've found the most useful is definitely the Stim-U-Dent


This is a great pack to pop into your bag to use after that scrumptious lunch at a friend's place. A more useful substitute to a regular toothpick that is shaped to clean between the teeth and gently stimulate the gums and remove plaque between the teeth. It is said to be an alternative to flossing but I would recommend using this to supplement your flossing routine.

The Natural Dentist also has some great reading resources to fuel your oral care knowledge. I've been learning quite a bit thanks to their site. For instance....

Myth-Buster: The Harder and Longer You Brush, The Cleaner Your Teeth—WRONG!
Overbrushing can be detrimental to your dental health. If you're brushing too hard or too much, it could lead to increased tooth sensitivity and receding gums.
To fix the problem, make sure you're using a soft brush & grip it at a 45-degree angle. Also, electric brushes are great since they have 2-min. timers.
