For a good couple of months the Internet was abuzz with curiosity and excitement to see who or what was at the center of Kolcraft's big teaser announcements.

Finally on December 16 2010, Kolcraft decided to do the big unveil and introduced the world to Wally Wonderbug and his companion Wanda....the baby entertainers.

Naturally I was excited to learn more about Wally especially since Bunny Boo is at that "curious to discover things" phase and thankfully I learnt that it is at a time like this that one realizes that it is such a blessing to be a Kolcraft Mom!

On Christmas morning, guess what Bunny Boo found waiting for him under the tree?.....

The Wally Wonderbug Activity Center!

So YES my readers DO get to read a first hand review of Kolcraft's latest winner that is yet to hit your local stores. (Yippee! )

The Wally Wonderbug Activity Center is the recommended entertainer for babies as young as 4 months old and can be used by your little one till he/she reaches a weight of 30lbs or a height of 30 inches, whichever is sooner.

Setting up the Activity Center was easy as I made sure I followed the instruction manual stage-wise.

I have to admit though, that it did take me a while to get the rattle toys into position and locked into the shoulder caps. It also did take some time to get the seat pad over the ring but once everything was firmly fitted and locked into place, it was easy to complete assembling Wally.

The question though remained....now that Wally was ready, would Bunny Boo take to his new buddy?

Ha! Take to him? .... He loved him! Every bit of his solid red frame and big "Love Me" eyes, the crinkly winged rolling ball Butterfly rattle, the ((Shake Shake Shake)) antennae and

his tiny friend WonderWorm who comes complete with music, sounds and glowing lights.

(Note: You will need 2 AA batteries to get WonderWorm to entertain.
We left the batteries out initially to allow Bunny Boo to explore the Center minus the additional sounds and lights and then introduced him to WonderWorm. I found that this encouraged him to find fun ways to play with the toys that didn't necessarily entertain with songs or lights)

I love the fact that this Center gives my 7 month old the independence to spin around 360 degrees to gain access to the toys that have been designed to encourage teaching him cause and effect relationships, hand/eye coordination and improvement of motor skill activities.

I also find that this is a great way to keep our little Discoverer busy (and safe!) while I whip up a few things in the kitchen especially when Hubby or Bunny girl are not close by, since he is one of the fastest creepers I have ever seen!

It's been about 10 days now since Wally Wonderbug has made our home his own and thankfully Bunny Boo loves sharing his space with him and excitedly wriggles into the machine washable, height adjustable seat pad when we place him in the same.
