If you've always loved those adorable little Precious Moments children then the Precious Moments Storybook Bible will be a memorable collection to get your little one.

The Buzz:
In this special Bible storybook, beloved Bible stories are combined with the endearing art of Sam Butcher's Precious Moments characters.
Every story is illustrated with full color borders that playfully decorate the page along with large images to help bring the Bible story to life for your child. Their interest will stay on the page as you read the delightful paraphrased stories from the International Children's Bible while they are entertained by the art that has engaged millions of children around the world.
The text is a large and very readable 14-point size. . . great for beginning readers!
Also included is a section for children's songs, special prayers, and a presentation section with family tree, etc.
E.B. Mommy's Report:
The Precious Moments Storybook Bible is a collection of Bible treasures that holds 30 story classics, 16 words of Praise and Wisdom (from Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Isaiah), 4 popular choruses and 7 little prayers for a child to repeat and even memorize.
It also includes a page to list out the child's family tree, important Church events attended and Ceremonies that have taken place. The Book closes with a page to list out a prayer from someone who loves the young owner and a page to record the young reader's own bedtime prayer.
This would make a lovely present for a preschooler especially if he/she is yet to be introduced to a Bible reading lifestyle. This book will gently nudge him/her into enjoying the Word of God through the simplicity of the text and the sweet pastel art that is everything a Precious Moments picture should be.

We haven't actually read the Bible each day, but we do a devotion each day that has a Bible verse that goes along with it.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I hadn't heard about this. I was a huge Precious Moments fan when I was growing up. You mentioned your children & I wanted to share a new application I recently was introduced to. I found it's a good way to get them started on the right track with reading their Bibles at an early age. Children's Bible is designed for ages 3-13 & is made up of comic books that deal with many of the most important stories in the Bible. It's a free app & available for most styles of smart phones. My kids have really enjoyed it & we have used it to start them with their own quiet time. I just wanted to share because it is such a cool way to get the children started out young with the Word. Definitely worth checking out at childrenbible.org - I think you'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI got a book that has bible short stories and read those to them as bedtime stories.

We haven't read the Bible every day (it is actually something we are trying to get into the habit of doing) but I really don't have to do much to get them interested, we go to church every week and they are in Sunday School - they learning about God.
