The Precious Moments Storybook Bible is a collection of Bible treasures that holds 30 story classics, 16 words of Praise and Wisdom (from Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Isaiah), 4 popular choruses and 7 little prayers for a child to repeat and even memorize.

It also includes a page to list out the child's family tree, important Church events attended and Ceremonies that have taken place. The Book closes with a page to list out a prayer from someone who loves the young owner and a page to record the young reader's own bedtime prayer.

    Every night right after dinner, my hubby reads a few passages from the bible. We do this before we all leave the dinner table. On some nights he will also read to the kids before bed a few of their bible stories from their books

    Thanks so much for sharing this. I hadn't heard about this. I was a huge Precious Moments fan when I was growing up. You mentioned your children & I wanted to share a new application I recently was introduced to. I found it's a good way to get them started on the right track with reading their Bibles at an early age. Children's Bible is designed for ages 3-13 & is made up of comic books that deal with many of the most important stories in the Bible. It's a free app & available for most styles of smart phones. My kids have really enjoyed it & we have used it to start them with their own quiet time. I just wanted to share because it is such a cool way to get the children started out young with the Word. Definitely worth checking out at childrenbible.org - I think you'll enjoy it.

    We haven't read the Bible every day (it is actually something we are trying to get into the habit of doing) but I really don't have to do much to get them interested, we go to church every week and they are in Sunday School - they learning about God.

    We don't read the Bible every day. If I won this we would. We go to church every Sunday. They have many questions about God. This would be a good way to teach them.

    I read to my granddaughter since she was born, and we had the Bible on cassette tapes that we listened to in the car. These days we read to each other, which is real sweet.

    my son is only two- but he loves me to read to him- i read him a passage out of the bible and tell him what it means- he is so smart- he says his prayer at night all by himself.

    well, my children are now grown. But as for my grand children, we really don't have to do much. We go to church as a family and they truly enjoy learning about God. My daughter sits down and has family prayer time every night before bed with the kids.

    Each night after my granddaughter says her prayers, she chooses a story for her Mommy (my daughter) or her Daddy or me to read from Tomie De Paola's Book of Bible Stories that her uncle (my son) gave her last Easter.

    I have failed in getting her to be interested in reading the Bible.
    I used Wise Words for Little People "a book of Proverbs" she went to Sunday School and we watched Christian dvd cartoons which she liked.
