This post is a 'Christmas Carnival' feature...The Carnival of Giveaways (or should I say Christmas prezzies?) on Energizer Bunny's Mommy Reports from November 1- December 5 2010.For a list of all the live giveaways visit 'The Christmas Carnival Center'
* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*
I love giving children DVD prezzies that are entertaining, musical and educational...all rolled into one.
The below featured Hit Entertainment and Lionsgate production releases will make great stocking stuffers.
(The Barney 6 DVD pack, though, would be more of a Christmas prezzie unless you share the DVDs among 3 stockings or maybe even 6!)

Waltz into a land of sugar and spice with Angelina Ballerina in fresh new CG animation with Angelina Ballerina: The Nutcracker Sweet! Angelina is excited to perform the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy in the holiday showcase, but her sweet tooth may lead her to trouble. When too many candy canes and Mom’s fabulous fruitcake give her a tummy ache, Angelina learns that sharing with friends is a lot more rewarding.
Bunny girl loves Angelina and she hasn't watched this one yet (Yes stocking stuffer!) but I do know this 61 minute, 5 episode DVD will have her don her tutu and pretend dance shoes in no time. Not only is this a nice festive entertainer but it's also a great way to encourage young viewers that it's important not to over-gorge on the Christmas goodies!

Next stop, Winter Wonderland! Join Thomas and his friends in Merry Winter Wish as they celebrate the holidays in four exciting episodes. Thomas has a special delivery for the season - the Star of Knapford, a festive light that makes wishes come true! The children are excited for the Snowman Party in the Town Square but it’s up to Thomas to find the snowman a special hat before the party can begin. Watch Bash, Dash and Ferdinand prepare for the first ever Misty Island Christmas party. Then Henry helps Sir Topham Hatt prepare a secret holiday surprise for all of Sodor.
Thomas fans will be excited to see Thomas and his buddies again. Personally I think my favorite so far has been Misty Island Rescue but this is a nice DVD to pop into the player for short intervals and yes, your little ones will learn the importance of working as a team and helping out.

‘Tis the season for holiday cheer in Jolly Holiday! Ride through a winter wonderland with Thomas on a special Christmas tree delivery. Join Bob the Builder and his Can-Do Crew as they build a sleigh of their own to make it to the school Christmas Carol Concert in time. See Fireman Sam and his friends get into the holiday spirit with the most exciting Christmas lights display. Finally, enjoy the snow fall with Barney as he teaches Baby Bop that winter is a wonderful time for fun even when it’s cold outside.
This is a fun filled Christmas DVD for preschoolers featuring the favorites-Thomas & his friends, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Barney & the gang and a bonus feature with the darling little mouseling Angelina Ballerina.
Finally, the crowning pack...

In Barney's Learning Pack 6 DVD Set, celebrate the gift of learning with Barney. This jam-packed 6 DVD compilation contains educational episodes focusing on colors, counting, nursery rhymes and learning the alphabet. The Set includes these DVDs:
* It’s Time for Counting
* Numbers! Numbers!
* Now I Know My ABCs
* Rhyme Time Rhythm
* Let’s Play School!
* Red, Yellow & Blue
A compilation of 269 minutes of learning and fun with Barney and his buddies....what could be better? This is the perfect pack especially for 2-4 year olds and a great way to introduce soon to be preschoolers to a few elementary lessons they'd be taught in school. I love the way each episode comes to life with a great collection of songs. I can vouch for the fact that Bunny girl has an extensive knowledge of many popular kids songs thanks to Barney.
Each DVD in this collection gets my 'Mommy Thumbs Up'. Way to go Barney!
