Toy Story 3 ...On Blu-Ray & DVD...Releasing Soon! (Review Only)

The movie that has critics raving and kids leaping will finally be out in the market on November 2, 2010. That's right, Toy Story 3, the #1 Animated Film in box office history and Walt Disney Company's second biggest film of all time will be selling like hot cakes in just a few days time!

Even if you haven't watched Toy Story 1 and 2, this release will entertain with Pixar's fabulous detail to animation and the loving story of toys who unite to follow the 'little boy' who owned them, as he sets off on his own big adventure to start college!

As Andy prepares to leave for college, his loyal childhood buddies, the toys, get left behind. Sadly though, instead of finding a safe store-away place in the attic, a misunderstanding leaves them in a place they least expect to find themselves in. One thing leads to another and finally their box ultimately travels to 'Sunnyside'- a daycare center.

The toys are in for a ruder shock when they find themselves being roughly 'toddler handled'. What happens next? Well....you have to go grab your copy of the movie to find out!

I thought the storyline was sweet on the overall but I really wish Disney didn't have to add the romantic angles (We really can have Toy Story 3 minus Barbie and Ken!) and the scary bits in the movie.
A Disney movie CAN win the box office votes without the 'romantic', 'violent' and 'scary' additions. It just takes a bite out of the 'Disney family viewing experience' for me as both Hubby and I would really love to watch a movie with Bunny girl without needing to fast forward portions of the story.

The movie in itself has an approximate run time of 103 minutes. The DVD and Blu-ray discs also include some extras.

Toy Story 3's DVD includes these bonus features:
  • Day & Night
  • Toys!
  • Buzz Lightyear Mission Logs
  • Paths to Pixar
  • The Gang's All Here
  • A Toy's Eye View
  • Studio Stories

Toy Story 3's Blu-ray includes all the DVD bonus features and these additional features:
  • Toy Story Trivia Dash (Game)
  • Cine-Explore
  • Beyond the Toybox
  • Beginnings: Setting a Story In Motion
  • Bonnie's Playtime: A Story Roundtable
  • Roundin' Up A Western Opening
  • Life Of A Shot
  • Goodbye Andy
  • Accidental Toymakers and
  • Making of Day & Night

((Whew!)) Now that's a lot of punch in a combo pack! ...And while you wait for your combo pack to come in the mail, print out these fun activities for your Toy Story fans.
