When we found out we were having Bunny Boo, I remember thinking "Wow! So now we'll have a little Thomas and friends fan in our home!" Strangely I could only think of Thomas at that moment! Thus, it seemed fitting to learn a few weeks ago that I would have to review something really special for Bunny Boo....his very first mini train set and mind you, not just any train set but a Thomas Wooden Railway Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set!

I know, like me, many of you think Thomas toys are only for kids who are 3 years+ but guess what? That was before Learning Curve introduced the Early Engineers line just for our Tots aged 18 months +.

Bunny Boo did get to see his first mini train set and though he won't get to play with it for a while, his big sister did help test it out for him!


The Thomas Wooden Railway Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set is just as solid as all the other great wooden Thomas toys but with just one difference....size!

Take Thomas for instance, he has been crafted a few sizes bigger than the regular sized engines, making him easy for a toddler to hold and move around the tracks.


The tracks are easy to assemble and can be fitted onto a regular sized Thomas Wooden train set tracks too. (So these will never go to waste when your little one grows older.)

The Roundabout Station Set includes Maithwaite station, a crossing gate, spinning cargo and a tree that are easy to put into the vacant spots on the set and just as easy to remove.


(It may have been a good idea to have the accessories stay in position stronger as they tend to get knocked over if the child has Thomas zooming around the tracks.)

The set measures 16" x 3.75" x 15" and weighs approximately 3.3 lbs.


If you add the Rock and Roll Quarry set to this set, I personally feel your Tot will spend more time engaged with Thomas.
Even if you don't this will still be fun for the younger kids as well as the older kids!
(Bunny girl actually spent a good time playing with the set {surprising me!} after adding one of her little Christmas Engines to the story she was cooking up with 'Chunky Thomas'!)
