Flitterbugs (Festive R&G to follow)

The motivation behind Flitterbugs, a quaint little girls boutique, is a heart warming story. A young couple with a burden to adopt children when they first married were told they needed to wait till they were 25 to be approved to be adoptive parents. The wait was long but 7 years and 3 kids of their own later, the burden continues to burn on and they've found the little girl they want to bring home from across the seas...all the way from Ethiopia. Only one thing stands in their way...the finances. To raise money to help bring their daughter to her new home, Julie began Flitterbugs.

The boutique features long sleeve dresses (price ranges between 38-40 US$)


short sleeve dresses (price ranges between 25-30 US$)


skirts, nightgowns, tees, peasant tops, ruffle pants, capris and cute traditional and whimsical bows.

Bunny girl was sent a beautifully wrapped package with 3 unique Flitterbugs creations and matching .

I loved the way the package was so carefully wrapped and tied up with a bow....making it look so elegant and 'girly'. I made sure I opened this out when Bunny girl got back from school to gauge her reactions. She immediately jumped on the bows and tried one on after the other and then declared she would wear one each day to school.

The next day to school, she wore her Flitterbugs skirt with a long sleeved white top she has and the matching bow.


Now cute is this? I wasn't able to get her to pose for the camera as it was one of those "I'm camera shy" days.

We even mixed and matched one of the other bows with another outfit she has.

(Don't you just love these bows that Julie makes?!)

Bunny girl was also sent a 'Christmassy' long sleeved dress that she plans to wear for a Christmas pagent later tonight


and a very pretty dusk purple short sleeved dress with a more traditional bow to match.

I love the uniqueness of all these pieces and I absolutely adore the matching bows. The fabric is very good quality, thick, comfortable cotton and seems very durable.
