'Word on the Street' Review and Giveaway

Having a party or just a family night of fun? Well have you tried playing board games like '10 days in Africa', 'Cloud 9', 'Letter Flip', 'Mix Up' or 'Word on the Street' ?

These are some of the great family/party favorites from Out of the Box Publishing,
a leading American game company. Relatively new to the market with it's entry in 1996, Out of the Box Publishing has not only developed some great party, card and board games but it has also bagged several awards for over 40 of their games!! Now that is some accomplishment!

One such award winner is their game- 'Word on the Street'

In 'Word on the Street' the players are divided into 2 teams. The first team flips a category card and has to think of a word that fits the category plus ensure that the word includes letters that are featured in the 'middle of the street' ...all before time runs out. The object of the game is to try and get as many letters as possible to your team's end of the street before the other team tries to win back those letters with their 'category card' pull.

The first team to get 8 letters to their end of the street wins. Sounds easy but once you play the game you will see how hard it really is to even get four letters completely across with the back and forth tug of letters! Is it a fun game to play? You betcha!!

This game retails for 24.99 US$ and is presently sold out on the site but click on the 'notify me when available' link and you should hear back from them soon!

Win it:

One reader will win evenings of fun with this game-
'Word on the Street'!

  14. I have played quite a few of their games. Ninja vs Ninja plays alot like a chess game. Apples to Apples is fun for all ages, but for a more mature crowd try playing with our house rule. "Fortune Cookie Rule", add "in bed" after each green card word. I laughed so hard it hurt at times!
