It's been ages since I've done a jigsaw puzzle. I still remember watching my Mother patiently sit and put pieces of a complex puzzle together, on our dining room table. I love how you start with nothing and then slowly as the hours pass by you have pieces come together and in the end you have a beautiful picture to behold. When Buffalo Games contacted me, I looked through the various products they manufactured- Party games, Card games and Jigsaw Puzzles. As soon as I read the word 'Puzzles' I just knew I wanted to do a Jigsaw Puzzle more than anything else. I initially looked around to find something
Bunny girl could do but the smallest puzzles they had were 300 piece puzzles, so I decided I'd pick one that I could do with Bunny girl's help. (Bunny girl is a puzzles buff. She developed a love for puzzles at 2 and a half and presently attempts 60 piece puzzles independently.)
Now everyone knows Bunny girl and I love Disney, thanks to our March '09 trip, so I just had to pick the 'Imagination' 500 piece puzzle
We haven't finished it yet but we're slowly getting there 'stamp' by 'stamp'! Want to see our 'Work in progress' ?Here's how our puzzle looked 3 days ago...
Here's what it looks like now....
Buffalo Games began in 1986 and the first product they brought out was the double sided 'World's Most Difficult Puzzle'. This pushed them to the forefront in the 'Games' market and niche-d them in the 'Innovative' segment....a position that they have retained since then.
All the puzzles and games are manufactured in-house in an 87,000 square foot facility in Buffalo, New York. (Can you imagine that? This facility just produces games and puzzles....and more games and puzzles!!)
I know puzzles aren't everybody's cup of tea, so the Team at Buffalo Games suggested they give away their hot selling party game- Likewise!- to one of my readers.
I've never played this game, so I have to brief you in the words of the sponsor....Likewise! is a thought provoking party game where it pays to think alike. In this game, individuals are presented with a random pairing of a Description and Subject Cards. The pairing might be "Exotic - Car", or "Massive - Breakfast Food" or something like that. Next, players write down or doodle their answers in secret. Finally, they flip their paddles, reveal their answers (and a little bit about themselves in a way). Matching answers move ahead on the game board and the first to the winner's circle is declared the champ. With over 5,000 possible category combinations, this is the laughable, lively, like-minded party game that you'll love!
3-6 Players (Likewise! is for recommended for everyone ages 12 & up.)
Sounds fun! Here's how you can win it:
1. Mandatory entry (without this, all other entries will be disqualified)-
Visit the Buffalo Games website and tell me another one of their products that looks like fun for your family.

-2. Sign up for the Buffalo Games e-newsletter. (Subscribers will have a chance to test new products and win fun prizes.)

What fun ! You have made amazing progress in such a short time...maybe thanks to Bunny Girl's assistance.(she is an ace when it comes to puzzles ..she is very alert and tiny, unusual shapes and colours dont confound her!) Puzzles are a real Stress Buster and as you mentioned it is such a wonderful feeling to watch the picture take shape out of nothing. The Disney picture looks complicated. Try and get it framed and whenever you so that Bunny Girl look at it you will remember the time spent together ...and dont forget to let Bunny Girl put in the last peice of puzzle !! Well done ...looking good so far
ReplyDeleteI love ALL of their puzzles! I'm definitely a jigsaw fan. I would probably choose one of the Disney Fine Art 1000 pieces puzzle!
