Sophie the Giraffe Celebrates Her 50th Birthday With A Contest.

The Buzz:

America's favorite teething toy Sophie the Giraffe is turning 50!

To celebrate her 50th birthday, Sophie is inviting mommies, babies and Sophie the Giraffe "graduates" to take part in her “50 Years in 50 States” photo competition. Our favorite giraffe has decided to take an excursion across the pond from her native France and is asking her American fans for assistance in her travels.

Participate by simply taking a picture of Sophie at one of your state’s most popular attractions. From the Golden Gate Bridge in California to the Empire State Building in New York, Sophie hopes to see the best of what the US has to offer!

Email your picture to Sophie by 5:00 P.M U.S Pacific Standard Time on May 31, 2011.
The favorite entries from each of the 50 states will receive a selection of magnifique gifts from the Sophie the Giraffe collection and will also be featured on Sophie the Giraffe’s Facebook page during her birthday month of May.

So where is Sophie now?

We had the privilege of hosting Madame Sophie at our humble abode. We planned to take Madame Sophie out to see our beautiful city but she had other plans in mind once she saw Bunny girl's 'book-alicious' library.


We did all we could to get "our lady" to budge but nothing could keep her away from pouring over page after page of color, excitement and adventure!


After hours of reading, we thought the opportunity had finally come to sneak her away from the room when Sophie found a book on giraffes....((GREAT!))


So while our "Golden Girl" learns more about "her kind", why don't you pull out your baby's teething buddy Sophie and think of where you can take a one of a kind picture of Sophie in your state?!
