When Friedrich Schleich first introduced Schleich figurines into the market in the 1950s, they captured the hearts of both the young and the old. Hubby adores animals and has encouraged that love in Bunny girl and now in Bunny Boo too. Bunny girl has a huge collection of little animal figurines that has grown over the years but I have to admit that none of them can be given a place of prominence if you hold them up on the same platform as the Schleich Farm Animals we received.


I'm sure these will be the only animal figurines that my children will have left to pass on to their kids and judging by the quality make up, they'd look as spiffy as they do now. (And by then these would be valuable "Collectors Items" too!)

We also received Anywhere’s a Playground: Schleich 75th Anniversary, by Paul Kraut.


This commemorative 75th Anniversary coffee table book filled with bold, bright photographs, introduces the reader to Schleich's beginnings and the journey taken to reach the position of becoming Germany's leading figurine manufacturer.
