CLOSED: Wild or Mild?....Chili's! (+ 20$ Gift Card Giveaway)

I think the last time I stepped into Chili's was a little before Bunny Boo arrived and I won't forget how I gorged on all those cheese smothered fries! (That Pairings menu sure was good!)


The Buzz:

Chili's is running a new promotion called "Wild or Mild".


They have added new menu items with ramped up spices or cooled down flavors from their original recipes, like Kicked-Up Queso, Blazin' Big Mouth Bites, Jalapeno Chicken Quesadillas and Sweet Maple BBQ Chicken Crispers.

But, just in case you liked the taste the way it was, the original recipes are still on the menu.

Well, it didn't take any convincing at all to get Hubby and Bunny girl to help me try out the new. limited time only, 'Wild' Or 'Mild' menu.


Since Bunny girl was still 'recovering' from a huge breakfast of pancakes, she asked if she could just nibble from my plate, so I decided to pick something 'Mild' and opted for the Big Mouth Bites.

Four mini burgers with layers of flavor – applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, sautéed onions and ranch dressing. Served with crispy onion strings, homestyle fries and a side of ranch dressing.

(Note: Our server sweetly split my order into two serving trays, just in case Bunny girl changed her mind and decided she'd eat more than just a few nibbles!)

Now I'm not big on bacon, so I opted for our burgers minus the applewood smoked bacon and I have to admit that I really enjoyed the generous oozing of their flavorful ranch dressing. Yum! The fries were crisp and nicely seasoned but the onion rings lacked the "crunch" I would have liked them to have.

Hubby initially found a dish on the 'Wild' side but quickly got sidetracked when he found a Margarita Grilled Chicken.

Classic Margarita-flavored grilled chicken with hints of lime and citrus, served with rice, black beans, tortilla strips and house-made pico de gallo.

Hubby loves 'spicy' anything so the dish, though wholesome, didn't give him the kick he hoped it would have.
He really should have just opted for the Blazin' Big Mouth Bites or the Jalapeno Chicken Quesadillas.
