* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*My family is bananas about bananas! Serve us bananas of any size and in any form and you will see Bunny girl, Hubby and myself gobble up the dish without any hesitation whatsoever! We even have a banana lover in training with Bunny Boo!! I don't have any qualms about professing our love for bananas so it was naturally an easy task to admit that I am a Chiquita Mom!
The funny thing is many people don't realize there's so much punch behind that yellow peel and incase you're one of those people who say "Phooeey" to a banana, then think again!

Lets Talk Chiquita Bananas:
Here's what you can get from a Chiquita banana....
- 400mg of potassium, per finger (This reduces your risk for high blood pressure or a stroke)
- 3 grams of fiber per serving. 1 banana = 12% of the daily recommended fiber intake for a person. (Reduces the risk of a heart disease)
- 15% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C (Helps your body heal, absorb iron and synthesize connective tissue and blood formation.)
- 20% of the recommended daily allowance for vitamin B6 (Supports your immune system, plays a significant role in the synthesis of antibodies, helps with protein metabolism, red blood cell formation and central nervous system function.)
- 30 grams of carbohydrates in a single banana (Supplies the fuel your body needs for muscle and central nervous system activity.)

Banana-licious:
It's easy to throw a banana into your daily diet.
Start the day with a banana smoothie or a banana milkshake or serve up a bowl of steaming oats and enjoy it Bunny girl style. (Throw in a few cashews and 1 banana sliced into tiny rings. If you'd like you can even add a sprinkle of raisins and then....dig in!)

Our family also loves fruit salads with custard or ice cream with a generous serving of bananas, apples and pitted dates.
Now if you happen to buy too many Chiquita bananas and find that they're getting brown and spotted, don't worry because you now have an excuse to whip up some yummy, soft and naturally sweet (thanks to the ripened bananas) banana muffins.

My favorite banana muffin recipe is Cat's Banana Muffin recipe. I've tried them with chocolate chips, with walnuts....why we've even added carrots to the mix to kick up the "healthy" by an extra notch!

I've even baked batches up for friends who're now die hard banana muffins fans as well!

However you like to serve them up, remember a banana a day will take your health a good long way.
Think about that!
Win it:
Two readers will win the opportunity to own a Chiquita Mom's kit that will include a brochure, freezer bags, recipe cards, a brochure,
