Playmobil: Hours of Imaginative, Quality Fun (+Giveaway)

In 1974, a line of German made toys were introduced to the world by the Brandstatter Group. A year later the toy market saw Playmobil toys placed on shelves all over the world. Now, over 30 years later, Playmobil toys remain a winner in the Imaginative, Fun Play category for children from the ages of 4 and over.
Why these toys aren't just something kids love, they're even teen and adult favorites!

With all the little Playmobil characters and accessories to boot, it can get a little difficult to keep everything in one place and keep track of what's missing. Thankfully the company smartly thought of manufacturing 'Take Along' sets that allow the little owner to store all his/her Playmobil goodies in a compact, light, easy to store away, carry-on case but also use the same as props to create an exciting backdrop during playtime.

The My Take Along Farm is one such set.
The case is designed to look like a quaint little farmhouse complete with a horse stable,

cows grazing in the back,

the family dog, barking the neighbor's cat up the orchard tree and

the ever essential hen coop!

Once you snap open the set, your child can transform the empty levels to look like a mini farm setting complete with the packs of Playmobil farm goodies included.

Oh yes, they're all in there!....The Farmer's complete family of 4, the horses, the pigs, the cat and her kittens, bunny rabbits and all the farming essentials needed to get the farm into ship shape form!

Bunny girl will soon be 5 years old (where does the time fly? She was only a baby yesterday!) and I've found that imaginative play sets like these keep her entertained for long periods of time. I love that these toys are not those flimsy, cheap, plastic play imitations that are literally 'play and throw after a few uses' sorts.

What's great about imaginative play sets is that the set is just a tool to catapult a little one into a world of creativity and fun. I've seen how Bunny girl is able to develop story lines with just one or two characters from a set, (Such a treat to watch!) so with an entire farm you can just about imagine how elaborate her stories can get!
