When I first read Masterbuilt's (Yes! THE Masterbuilt y'all!) product description for the Masterbuilt Digital Electric Turkey Fryer, I had to re-read it again slowly....
"The first and only electric turkey fryer that brings outdoor cooking inside"

Interesting....now that's a first!

But then the product description doesn't just stop there. It continues to say that I can use this 'fryer' to also steam and boil as well....WOWZA!

Now for all you 'food' tech specs guys out there, here's some good information meat to chew on....

The Masterbuilt Digital Electric Turkey Fryer has

• An adjustable thermostat temperature control
• A stainless steel construction
• A porcelain-coated inner pot
• A digital timer (Great way to ensure you don't forget you're frying something in there!)
• A folding lid with a window and filter
• A cooking basket with a drain clip
• A drain Valve for easy cleaning (Believe me. Cleaning is super easy with this!)
• Been designed to save on oil because it uses 1/3 less than conventional turkey fryers
• The ability to fry a 14 lb turkey that can feed upto 8 people

Our family isn't big on the 'Turkey' frying bit but we do love a nice chunky spicy fried fish fillet. (Yes oozing with all the Indian spices my cabinet holds!)

We decided we'd do our first 'Masterbuilt Test Fry' with our fillets but to avoid our lovely home from smelling like a "Fried Fish Fiesta",we wisely (and conveniently) moved our Fryer into the backyard.

We set the thermostat to 325 degrees and in under 7 minutes we had the oil ready for 'Fishy dips'.

I wish you could hear the melodious sound of "Hiss" "Spit" and "Splutter" when those fillets were lowered into the oil, in the drain basket.

And in under fifteen minutes we had a well cooked, crispy fried fish fillet, beautifully done and gorgeously golden brown in color.
We left the same to cool in the basket, that we'd lifted and placed on the side of the fryer, to allow the excess oil to drain away.

Hubby is thrilled with the Digital Fryer and over the weekend has promised to use the Fryer indoors this time, to whip up a batch of MeMaw's Southern Fried Chicken from John's 'appetite enticing' cookbook, 'Dadgum That's Good'

Now nobody will tell you the ins and outs of the Fryer better than John McLemore, so click on the video to see how awesome this Fryer really is.

If your Hubby has said you can pick something new for the kitchen this Christmas, without batting an eyelid, hurry and put this down on your list.
This will save you time and the unnecessary use of a lot of oil. I also feel this is a safer way to get your frying done and this is, without a doubt, a more convenient way to whip up finger lickin' dishes especially while entertaining for a crowd.

I'm thrilled with Masterbuilt's Digital Electric Turkey Fryer and if I'd have to describe it in just 5 words, I'll just have to say it as John says it...."Dadgum This Sure Is Good!"
