* Click here to view the name(s) of the winner(s)*Now this is no lie but we get Bunny girl's hair cut at Supercuts. (Offspring of The Regis Corporation)
The stylists are child friendly, patient and always do a great job of making sure Bunny girl is having a good time and still walk away with a great looking hair style.
I've noticed our local salon is always teeming with customers, thanks to their value for money, skilled expertise and warm customer service. I'm assuming this is a common feature in all Supercuts salons considering their iconic brand is no stranger to even the common man.
Supercuts was also named the number one hair-care franchise in the U.S. and the fifth best franchise opportunity overall in Entrepreneur magazine's annual "Franchise 500" issue.

Now that's something to pay attention to especially if you've been flipping coins to decide whether or not you want to start a business especially during this phase in the country's economy and if in the affirmative, what business would you start?
Hmmmmm.....good question!
How about something in the haircare industry?
The hair care is an industry worthy of consideration because it:
- Is fundamental service in any community and any economic climate.
- Most people choose not to ‘do it themselves’
- Resists technological obsolescence
- Is staffed by professionals – employees are educated, certified and trained
- Has low, non-perishable inventory requirements.
- Cannot be outsourced
- Is about making people look and feel good about themselves.
Having said that, have you ever considered opening a Super Cuts salon?

The Regis Corporation is the authority on franchise business ownership in the hair care industry. They are a Fortune 1000 company with almost 13,000 salon locations among 60 brands in hair care services, products, and education. and offers a time-tested business model for anyone looking to start building a business of their own - no prior hair-care experience necessary. (Okay...I see you sitting up and paying attention now!)
They use total transparency to provide learning opportunities and offer access to the latest information and best practices on financial performance, incremental revenue opportunities, operational improvements, marketing, hiring, retention and business growth strategies. They are equally as invested in the success of franchised salons as their franchisees are.
To put it simply, Supercuts will train you to run the business, and how to hire the right professional stylists to perform the actual services.

So how does one start?
All you need is
- $150K net worth minimum
- Some business experience
- Willingness to open multiple units (Minimum of 3)

I DO think a franchise is a great idea! Most businesses are well established to be able to get to that point, so there is not a lot of proving yourself...other than finding good management. It's usually easy to secure a load for an established business. In some areas one franchise might outshine others...there are so many variables. so if some do not make it, that doesnt mean others wont. I have a son in law that was interested in a food franchise.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance at a cool prize! Just saying my Justin Beiber'ish teen son's hair needs some serious Help!

I think franchises are a good idea, for some people - they basically hand you a well-branded business-in-a-box (for a fee and a percentage of sales, generally) and it's a good idea if you don't mind giving up the creative freedom that you have owning/running your own business.
ReplyDeleteI do think it's a good idea. I know several people who got into business with franchises and they were very successful.

I think Franchise Business investment would be more stable than an independent business, however you don't have the option of making your business quirky or personal to your style.

ReplyDeleteI think a franchise is a great idea. You get the name recognition and support of a major established business, but still get to own your own business.

I think franchise based business is a great idea. You are starting out with name recognition which is very important. It appears you also get top notch training in how to run a successful business. It always help to have someone have your back when you are first starting out.

i think owning a franchise is great. You have instant recognition in the name. People feel safer going to franchises, like there is always someone to go and complain to if need be.

I think franchises are a good idea if you have money that you want to invest in a business. I do think that your chances of success are better if you have some prior knowledge about the area, though.
