CLOSED: Guesstures- Hasbro's Family Night Fun (+Giveaway)

I officially have a favorite fun game since March this year and thanks to the ladies from my church. I discovered it during a 'Ladies Fellowship Meal' gathering we had at one of the ladies homes, just before we dug into some delicious homemade lasagna. I have to warn you, this game is not for those who don't love a good laugh and some big time charades!!

I have to applaud Hasbro's creativity on taking an age old favorite game like Dumb Charades and giving it a good modern shake-up and send out into the market in the form of their popular game Guesstures.

The rules are simple:

Pop 4 cards into the Action Timer (You can choose a combination of Easy or Hard cards but remember the Hard cards hold more value in terms of the points you can earn for your team)
Act out each card as the Timer ticks
If a card is guessed, you will need to pull it out before it drops down into the 'Cannot retrieve' slot in the Timer. (Its hilarious watching a team correctly guess their team mate's charade and then see the card they guess fall into the slot, only because they ran out of time in that split second!)
The best actor/actress wins the trophy!

I know for a first timer, you would think the easy way out would be by picking out 4 Easy cards, but keep in mind some of those Easy Cards have words that are really hard to act out.

This is a fun game to play with family and in large gatherings especially as its a great ice-breaker. Our dinner gathering started off on a quiet note with all the ladies feeling a little shy (even though we all knew each other) but by the time we were halfway through Guesstures, everyone had thawed all the way through and we sounded like a bunch of loud, giggly school girls!! I'm waiting to play this at home with Hubby when my Mom and Sister come down and I know for sure we will have a lot of laughs.

I definitely recommend this game as a keeper!
