You've heard so much about Sprout and you're contemplating speaking to your cable operator to get connected to the only 24 hour Preschool channel filled with quality entertainment BUT what if your little won't enjoy the shows? Well...here's one way to test the waters. Buy Hit Entertainment and Lionsgate production's January 12th release featuring favorite shows from Sprout-'Let's Grow: Lend a Helping Hand'.
'Let's Grow: Lend a Helping Hand' is hosted by Sprout's Sunny Side Up anchors- Kelly and her yellow feathered buddy Chica, in the Sunshine Barn. They introduce your preschooler to five Preschooler favorites- Barney, Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, Fireman Sam and Angelina the Ballerina and teach your Preschooler the different ways he/she can be a helper....be it through kind words, team work, helping at home or even by recycling.
The five episodes featured on this dvd center around one theme- lending a helping hand.
- Barney: "Litterbot" (Riff invents a 'litter robot' to help keep the environment clean...as always there are some downs but thanks to Baby Bop and Barney, everything works out okay in the end. )
- Bob the Builder: "Clean as a whistle" (Bristle-the cleaning machine, Bob and his friends get ready for the grand opening of the Promenade...lots of cleaning up to be done before the big event!)
- Thomas & Friends: "Dirty Work" (James gets a brand new coat of paint and looks sparkly clean. The new look is beautiful but it also means that James is anything but willing to help Thomas and his friends with the work....and that would mean Thomas and the gang would miss the fun Festival!)
- Fireman Sam: "Mother's Helper" (Norman and Mike learn a crucial lesson from Fireman Sam on the importance of 'safely' helping out at home.)
- Angelina Ballerina: "The Ballerina Rag Doll" (Angelina helps Mary learn to enjoy and love dancing)
(Thanks to Andrea Blain Public Relations we received this dvd to preview.)

We have our preschooler ( or when the others were preschoolers) sort socks and put the cloth napkins away. Also helping set the table.
ReplyDeleteMy sister is moving in with her two kids (preschool and kindergarden ages), and I'll be watching them while she works. I'd love it if they'd help pick up their messes and if I couuld make cleaning a fun game.

My daughter is 3 and she loves to put the clothes in the dryer, put away dishtowels and washcloths as well as her own undies, socks and pjs and get the plates and silverware for the kids .I use only plastic dishes for my kids because I know they would have anything else broken in a matter of days so she just gets them out of the dishwasher and puts them on the table.
