There are a few really good educational preschooler shows on PBS kids and one of them is definitely WordWorld. If your preschooler has yet to be introduced to a WordWorld episode, I urge you to check your local PBS kids schedule and see when they air the episodes in your area. This is generally airs daily mid morning and is something Bunny girl loves to watch as she is totally into Phonics, Rhyming and now Word Building.

(Note: A Department of Education funded study has shown that WordWorld improves a child's literacy skills)


Thanks to NCircle Entertainment we were sent My Fuzzy Valentine, one of the newer WordWorld releases...just in time for Valentines day!

In My Fuzzy Valentine Sheep has a big problem. She just can't figure out how to give Bear the sweetest Valentine gift ever....a special song composed just by her. Why? Because poor Sheep is stuck finding the right rhyme to complete the special song but after a potpourri of words are substituted, she's able to finally have her 'Valentine present' ready for Bear....thanks to a little help from another special little buddy.

This dvd also includes an encouraging little episode for little ones who are just learning to spell their names. (I still remember how Bunny girl got stuck with the loops in one alphabet in her name and how she practiced and practiced till one fine day with a little swirl she finally got it right.) In Love Bug the little character facing the 'name signing' predicament is Bug. His Valentine Card is ready but he just can't sign his name. Saddened and discouraged, he mopes but after his friend, Frog, 'pushes' him in the right direction, he finally succeeds in doing what he thought would be the impossible.
