CLOSED: Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Cafe (R&G)

When the doorbell rang a few days ago and the Fedex guy stood on our doorsept with this huge oversized package I was thrilled. He quietly whispered "Are you planning to ship your daughter anywhere?", laughed out loud and walked away. The box was honestly that huge!!!!

Bunny girl was eager to open the box but I managed to distract her and get her into bed for a nap before I attacked the package myself and boy, what a treat that was! Our enormous box held 2 playsets that would excite any little preschooler....2 fun imagination playsets from Hasbro!

After spending a little time playing with the sets myself (ok so I admitted it!), I found safe hiding places for both goodies.
*As a rule, as parents we generally do not give Bunny girl toys unless they've been earned or as a treat for something she has gone through or done. The only exception to this rule is when I get children's books for review...they're given to her right away. Yes it does get hard but we feel it's important for her to be able to value what she receives and helps her enjoy the toy concerned to the max.*
Thus I don't have any photographs of Bunny girl with both sets as she will get one along with her Christmas prezzie and the other on a later occasion.

The playset that she will get for Christmas is the Strawberry Shortcake Berry Cafe.


Strangely enough my sister sent her 2 of Strawberry's buddies in the mail for Christmas and she has a little Strawberry Shortcake figure of her own, (Did I mention Bunny girl loves playing with her little figurines and figures?....they're a whole collection of characters, animals and what not stuff she has been collecting over a year and a half!) so this playset is just perfect!



The Berry Cafe is complete with all the little odds and ends Strawberry Shortcake needs to get the cafe in clockwork functionality! Your little girl can send Strawberry (yes the playset comes with its very own scented Strawberry figurine) up the little staircase to take a nap in her little bedroom and come rushing down to whip up some delicious ice cream muffins, waffles, cupcakes, pancakes and croissants. When all is done, she can place the goodies in her little basket and fly away to her friends in Berry Bitty city using her best ride of all...the little blue bird. (you can get the little bird to actually spin around)

If your little one loves imagination play, like mine does, this playset will be an absolute treat. (I can't wait to see Bunny girl's reaction when she gets this!)

I wouldn't suggest buying this off Amazon as they're presently selling this for 57.75 US$ ...ouch! ToysRUS is selling this at a much cheaper price at 29.99 US$. (You can also check these stores)
