I was first introduced to Chicken Soup books when I was in college, since then I've been hooked. Filled with encouragement, laughs, insight and a whole lot more, these books brought together by Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield have become family favorites for both the young and the old. I've given these books as special gifts to my mother, sister, father-in-law and husband. I know each one treasures their Chicken Soup picks.

It's been a while since I read a Chicken Soup book, so when the opportunity came to review not one but TWO books, I jumped right on it.

All in the Family by Jack Canfield, Mark Hansen, Amy Newmark and Susan M Heim is a collection of 101 family stories written by people just like you and me. With stories about the in-laws, nutty members, family get-togethers, family secrets, dysfunctional quirks, parents, siblings and more, this book will prove to you that yes, there are families out there like yours.....yours isn't the only wacky one!!

I love this book. I think Devotional Stories for Women by Susan M Heim and Karen Talcott will make a lovely gift for any special lady in your life. Sometimes as a Mom, Wife....and Woman I know I need a pick me up and an encouragement. It just doesn't work to read a long book but these 101 short inspirational stories will bring a smile to your face and a skip to your step. Filled with stories on faith, motherhood, life, illness, parenting, relationships, loss, marriage, service, self esteem and God's Helpers, this book will be a treasured gift to the recipient. I would recommend this book ....from one woman to another.
