Wilton Cupcake Package Review and Giveaway

When I say the name Wilton what's the first thing that comes to your mind?......Cakes? Cupcakes? Baking pans?Sprinkles? That's right! We've grown to always associate anything related to baking with the name we all love....Wilton.

Wilton Food Crafts first began business in the year 1929 and has progressed steadily to the ranks of being number one in the market for cake decorating, bakeware and tea kettles.

To me its an honor to review Wilton products as I've always equated baking quality to their name. When I was asked to pick what I'd wanted to review, I thought I'd love to check out their mini muffin bake pan as mini muffins would be great for Bunny girl to carry in her snack box or even to use for the kids in our church class. I was excited to receive not just the mini muffin pan but also the baking cups and sprinkles to help make those muffins. An added bonus was a pack of bear silicone cupcake baking cups. Now this is something I've never used before, so I had to read up a little to make sure I didn't melt those darling bears out of existence!

Guess what? I learnt that I could put the silicone cups in the oven as they're heat resistant upto a temperature of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also use these to set mini puddings and even ice-cream!

Silicone cups are easier to clean and scratch resistant when compared to metal bake pans. You need to make sure you grease/spray your silicone cups before baking else you will be left soaking the cups in warm water to scrub off the cake residues. (I completely overlooked the greasing bit in all the excitement!) Oh and don't worry....the silicone is food grade quality and completely safe to use while baking.

So now are you all set to make those mini muffins? Ok...so lets start baking!

I thought we'd do muffins with a twist...rather mini brownies instead of actual muffins, just for a change.

Bunny girl was my 'sprinkles' designator and she meticulously divided those sprinkles between those cups as if it were an art project.

She 'sprinkled' about 20 mini brownies and 12 teddy brownies in all and soon it was time to pop them all into the oven for a good bake.

Mmmmm....can you smell those brownies?

Unfortunately in my haste of wanting to pop one of those delicious mini brownies into my mouth I completely forgot to take a photograph of our teddy brownies, so you will just have to use a little imagination to picture those. (wink!)

It goes without saying that those brownies didn't last very long in our home and thanks to the Wilton package, we will be having mini muffins soon!

Any issues with the quality of the products?

Honestly I had none whatsoever but as I mentioned earlier, make sure you grease those silicone cups before you bake cupcakes in them, else you will be in for some minutes of scrubbing at the sink. ( Like me!)
Would I recommend Wilton for your baking needs? Without batting an eyelid I can say 100% yes! Go for it!!
