'My Story Bible' is a lovely collection of 66 loved Bible stories written by Jan Godfrey and illustrated by Paola Bertolini Gradina. This is a good book to introduce a child to popular Bible stories. All the kiddies favorites are in here like David and Goliath, Joseph and his colorful coat, Jonah and the big fish, Ruth and several stories on the miracles of Jesus.
Each story is short but the message is beautifully conveyed to the young reader/listener.
This is the 4th Jan Godfrey book Bunny girl and I have read together. Not all people can write in a language that is simple for a little child to understand but yet bring forth the complete essence of a story. Jan is one person who has been blessed with the ability to do this and that's why I love her books.
'My Story Bible' has been published by Anno Domini Publishing and retails at 12.99 US$. This is a 144 paged hardcover book and a great gift to give any young child on his/her birthday or for Christmas. (Check the links on the right hand side of the page to find an online retailer or a store near you, from which you can buy this book.)
* I have reviewed this book as a member of Tyndale's Blog Network *
