Are you all set to win some great food and food related goodies?... Then lets get going!!

FOOD FEST GIVEAWAY # 4

I'm biased. Ask me where the best tea comes from and I'll say India or even Ceylon. There's nothing more refreshing than having a hot cup of 'chai' (tea) brewed with cardamom pods....mmmmm.
I'm not too crazy about iced tea but give me a hot cup anytime of the day and I'll gladly sip it all up!

When I was asked to review Kusmi Tea, I jumped at the opportunity. Tea anything...send it along! Later while reading through the history I realized I would be sampling not just any old tea but tea made from tea leaves straight out of India, Ceylon and China. My first thought was these guys know what they're doing...putting the creme de la creme of tea leaves in one cuppa.....kudos!

One sip later my assumption was confirmed....this isn't just any tea but a blend of unique flavors and aromas. This is Kusmi Tea!

The seeds of this company originated in St. Petersburg and was developed 140 years ago by the son of a Russian peasant family- Pavel Kousmichoff. In 1917 the family opened 51 tea stores in Russia and Europe but after World War 2, moved their headquarters to France. In 2004 this brand was bought by Sylvain Orebi and renamed Kusmi Tea. (Read more on the Kusmi history here)

Today Kusmi Tea boasts of exotic blends that include ingredients like liquorice, pink pepper, almond, orange, cinammon, lemon grass and clove. Yes...very 'la-dee-dah'! I would say this would be the tea you would serve up as a special beverage while entertaining guests or even just when you feel like something different and out of the ordinary.

Introducing Kusmi's Star!
Kusmi's Detox Tea is the latest talk of tea-town! It is a blend of mate, lemon grass and green tea flavored with lemon. From the three tins I sampled, this was the one that appealed to me the most. The ingredient mate is therapeutic, rich in anti oxidants and every health lover's choice! This tea has its origins in China and Brazil.

To make a nice cup of
Kusmi's Detox Tea, brew a teaspoonful of tea leaves(you can add more depending on how strong you want your tea to be)in water till it boils. A 3-4 minute brewing time should suffice. Take it off the stove, strain the leaves through a strainer, pour the strained tea into a cup and slowly sip your refreshing cuppa tea!

A Kusmi Detox Tea tin retails at 18.40 US$ and can be bought online here.

Oh and I just have to add....I love the Kusmi tins! I know I'm going to store some spices in mine once I'm through with the tea!

Three readers will win a tin of Kusmi Detox tea each.
