Eyebuy Direct Review and Giveaway (BTSC- Day 32)

I have had glasses since I was in grade 6. Thankfully my vision has improved over the years and I don't need to wear glasses at all times except while driving. All these years I've always picked out my frames the old fashioned way. Visit the optometrist, get the prescription, pick out my frames and go back later to pick up my new glasses. Never in my wildest of dreams did I ever think I would get my next pair off the Net. Okay sunglasses maybe but prescription glasses? No way!.....till I was introduced to EyeBuyDirect.com.

How does this work?

Easy peasy!

1. Browse through the catalog and pick a frame, say for example you pick Suede.(and wow...look at the price cut!)

2. Not sure if the frames suit you? Well, why don't you try them on? Seriously! Click the little red and yellow logo button, that says EyeTry, (Try online), to the left of the frame and try them on! (You will need to register on the site-for free- and upload a profile photo to do this) The EyeTry feature on this site is without a doubt, the best feature of all!

3. Like the pair? Then click to select the lens and move onto the next step- filling up the prescription details, as per the information provided by your optometrist.

4. Now for the final step- the payment. Once you finish with this, all you have to do is wait till the postman comes knocking on your door to deliver your snazzy new glasses!


At first I thought the process would be long and complicated but I was surprised at the speed at which I completed ordering for my pair. I think the longest time was actually involved in finally narrowing down to the frames to order. When my glasses from EyeBuyDirect.com arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to notice USPS brought it in without a scratch or dent. (The casing holding the glasses was super strong!) and when I tried it on it was a perfect set! Now that I've been spoilt with this option (especially when considering the great designs, prices, quality and great service) I don't think I'll find it easy to walk into a physical store again!
